Good brakes - drum brakes

Only good for a short time after installation about a month, braking performance is very good. Good price, easy installation, so far very satisfied. Shopping at Revain just got easier.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Doubtful

The item was listed as referring to a 2006 Dodge Dakota.

This item was listed as a 2006 Dodge Dakota. THAT'S NOT THE CASE. I didn't bother to replace the brakes until the return period was over. My fault for not being able to return but be careful! Check the details upon delivery!

Pros
  • Great All-Round Performance
Cons
  • Great Price

I wanted to please but I missed the E-Brake rivet on one

The shoes looked just the right size and went well with the previous ones. My problem was that I had removed and disassembled the drums before noticing that one of the new pads was missing an adjustment rivet. Not in a box and no nits anywhere. So I couldn't continue with them. Had to buy and return a pair of shoes from a local parts store. I suspect it was an accident involving my pair and they would have worked great on my truck but didn't have the luxury of waiting for a refund/replacement.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

A bit fiddly to install, but it fits in the end

Fits my 1999 Ford E-150. I had it installed by my professional mechanic. Installation was otherwise easy, but it took him quite a while to reuse the C washer from my old drum brake pad and try to press it back into the O shape to wrap around the post to keep it in place and position remains. The mechanic said that Japanese auto drum brake pads probably come with a new C-washer which should be easier to work with, but American auto drum brake pads don't usually come with this piece of equipment.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

The pads are fine but the pin fell out and almost caused an accident.

The pin that pushes into the block that supports the spring and self-adjusting rod fell out and bit into the drum. I found it out because the brake pedal was getting spongy and the anti-lock braking system was running at long intervals due to too much moving of the shoe the pin had fallen out of. Luckily I have a manual transmission so I could slow the truck down enough to avoid the accident. I pushed a needle back in from an old shoe until I could buy a new pair of shoes from my local auto…

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • functionality
