Discount shoes for my 2003 4runner

They have driven almost 72,000 miles and worked well. My e-brake has never been great, but I'm more prone to bad settings than the pads. Next time I'll probably try OEM Toyota, but 4 times more expensive. It's worth it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • So-so

Perfect fit for 2001 Toyota Sequoia

Perfect fit for 2001 Toyota Sequoia. Tip: When removing old pads, the spring locks do not need to be removed due to the construction of the pads used. can be plugged onto the retaining pin on both sides, which is much easier than attaching a lock afterwards

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • So far so good

They should probably work just fine, but if you just run them through .

It still works as a parking brake, unlike the OEM. First thing my mechanic said was oh they look cheap. I think if your stock parking brake is bad it should probably work just fine, but if you're just looking to replace it, no stock brake the hell is better, even after 10 years. old. rzunimag.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

The brake pads worked great on a 2005 4Runner SR5.

I installed it on a 2005 Toyota 4Runner, SR5, V-6 last weekend. They worked/fit well. Only part of it appears to be slightly larger than standard, but that wasn't a problem during installation. Works perfectly! WARNING - these were the first emergency brake pads I have ever replaced. Hard work! (Thanks to Toyota). Sometimes I needed a second person to help assemble all the little detent/spring/cap parts that hold the pads in place.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Nightmare setup

It's not his fault - he's fine. But on the FJ Cruiser, the plate at the end of the axle where the eyebolts attach is so large that it completely blocks access to the parking brake clamps and springs. You end up doing a combination of long needle nose pliers on the side and reaching through the tiny holes in the axle plate to get at the shoe hardware. It took me about 3 hours for the first page - only about 45 minutes for the second one after developing some effective strategies.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of style
