I play derby and my wife had one of these trainers. The great thing about them is that they help you slide around the edges and the little outer edge grips so you don't fall off. worth the cost! They match the red bearings perfectly, but don't forget the two-stroke tool if you don't have one.

To be honest I bought them for their looks. As soon as I put them on and started using them, I realized they were great rink wheels. The 93/97 wheels (blue-green) are amazing. Fast rolling, good cornering grip and not too slippery on a waxed floor. Definitely an overall different roll and feel on the ground. So expect some behavioral changes to get some feedback as you get used to it.

I have replaced my original set of Backspin wheels with my vanilla skates. The old wheels are worn out. I didn't know how stiff the backspins should be because I liked the grip, so I went with the 88A-91A. Paired with a set of ABEC 11 Yellow Jacket Stinger bearings, they were a perfect match. I had good footing but was able to slide and stop when needed. I've only used them once so my opinion may change but I would buy again but maybe choose a softer wood bottom wheel.

First, I like the colors I like. I used purple core, orange and blue for all eight wheels. After my first run with them the wheels were lapped in and I was comfortable with the traction the orange outer gave me. They didn't feel too grippy and I didn't slip. I went for a heavier set.
