Replaced my nearly useless boat style spikes on my 98 F-150. The metal is the same gauge as the factory I replaced. Not only are they more convenient, but I can now block my chainsaws with a chain when I stop at the store.

I replaced the factory bolts (useless) on my 1999 F-150 with these. They are installed with old hardware. It's much easier to use ties with it as the hooks won't slip off. You can tighten the straps as tight as you can and they don't seem to budge.

The previous owner got the zip ties from a junkyard, cut them off with a cutting wheel (most of which left cuts) and secured them with screws. I replaced them with these and used metal mounting screws from a local big box store (can't remember what size). You are very safe.
