So far, so good! best in RV Parts & Accessories

The screw holes didn't match 100% with the existing plastic holes, but close enough that I didn't have to drill new holes. So far I've only replaced the female end and the plastic plug fits in. A NOTICE. Many trailers use a proprietary driver bit and you can try ordering one (TRLR or DBLSQ). You can also use a Robertson bit (square).

Pros
  • Furniture Parts & Hardware
Cons
  • Some small things

Good catch is best indoors

The double doors in my barn tend to close even with a slight breeze. I use them to keep them open. They work well, installed within a couple of months with no corrosion so I'm happy. At first I had cheaper plastic hangars, similar to the plastic in the ultra cheap clothing hangars we know. But just like the hangars, they broke easily, these metal ones are much better.

Pros
  • Car
Cons
  • Vulgarity

replace plastic? Read it!

If you are replacing an existing plastic with this metal, be aware that alignment is more important with this than with plastic. In other words, if you're hoping to use the same mounting holes on the door and trailer, you might be disappointed because the latch might not line up. The plastic ones are more flexible and don't need perfect alignment like these. So you may need to drill new holes or bend the latch like I did (I don't need extra holes in my trailer). Knowing this now, I would go to…

Cons
  • It's OK
