Fell out of the nest on the first day. The cross clamp is not strong enough to stay in the closed position. I didn't use it to tow a trailer (or I would have lost the trailer!) but don't waste your money on that.

I just bought one of these from a local store and already regret it. The problem is that the smallest lock I could find but still strong doesn't quite fit the slot. I have to drill it a little more to install the lock. I feel like I should have gotten one of the $20's with a lock on the end but I've heard they suck too.

Ideal for quick and easy installation of a pin in the handset. I know it says it's lockable, but you can't put a decent padlock on it. That does not fit. However, I knew that before I bought it. Even with a lock, it was possible to break this pivot with a hammer. This particular one is good because of the case that comes with it. With a bushing, it fits standard 2" receiver holes, and without the bushing, it fits smaller holes like bike racks. It's absolutely better than trying to fit the clip…
