Strong, Easy to Use

Held up great when our 65lb pitbull tried to run toward another dog, so it passed the test for us.The handle is easy to screw in to our heavy clay soil. Cable is a good length for pup to wander around and hang out with us in the front yard, without being able to reach the sidewalk. The cable is flexible enough for the dog to move freely but stiff enough that the cable won't wind up or tangle on itself or around dog's legs.

Pros
  • Easy to set up and take down for storage
Cons
  • The stake may become contaminated with bacteria or pathogens during use

Makes it easy to bring the pup

I’m the type of person that wants to bring my dog everywhere. However, he needs to be on a leash or he would definitely wander. This is the perfect easy solution to bring him with me to every outdoor event and free my hands of a leash. He is energetic and has never pulled it out of the ground. It’s held up at the beach, park and parties. Great buy.

Pros
  • Darkyazi
Cons
  • The cable may become damaged if exposed to extreme temperatures or weather conditions

A necessity: my feedback

I have trained many a dog. I assisted a veterinarian for a time. My latest puppy isn't the WORST I've had to work with, but he's such a challenge that he needs a lot of discipline. I'm a big dog person but my husband loves little dogs, so this new pup is a smaller mutt.If you have a good dog house and a nice space for it, this run is perfect. It doesn't tangle easily and offers plenty of room (but not too much) for the anxious little dogs who destroy houses and back yards.

Pros
  • Tie-Outs & Stakes
Cons
  • The reflective coating may not provide enough visibility for night-time use in rural areas with no streetlights

Keeps My Puppy Safe

I needed something that would allow my dog to play on the front lawn but not wander off. Before we got these she ran over to say hello to another neighborhood dog before I could catch her and she was severely injured (attacked). This is easy to put into the ground and she can roam around but not further than the sidewalk. I can sit outside with her or do yard work and not have to keep chasing her. Maddie is 15 pounds and I got the medium to large product and it's just right. I feel better about

Pros
  • The reflective stake ensures other people can see your dog, even in low-light conditions
Cons
  • The reflective coating may become sticky or tacky in hot weather conditions

Doggie heaven best in my review

This is the best tie out I have owned for my 16 lb rescue. Color is great, does not fade like the color red! Very strong and he likes to run the second he is hooked up. Holds him great!

Pros
  • This is a goodbye works really well and the length is perfect
Cons
  • The cable may tangle easily, making it difficult to use

Only using the cord

Using only the cord with a different (flush to the ground stakeout). I do really like the cord that came with this one though, so far is very durable and the length is perfect. The stake out (I thought was to be reflective)? Nothing reflective about it…

Pros
  • Ideal for use in the yard, camping, and all outdoor activities
Cons
  • The reflective coating may attract unwanted insects or pests

Broke in 15 Minutes

Twisted this into soft grass for the first time and the top handle snapped off applying hand tight force. Unbelievably poor quality, no clue how reviews say this can handle a dog of any size if it broke this easily. Do not buy!

Pros
  • Best size for small 10 lb. dog. Like that chain is covered in vinyl.
Cons
  • The material is cheap metal.

Perfect for the park

We use this for the park when we take my dog so that she has some freedom to roam in our general area. Perfect when you’re picnic-ing or when you’re working out! Stays put and we haven’t had any issues.

Pros
  • Yard Stake
Cons
  • The stake may be difficult to drive into hard ground, leading to broken tools

Not long enough: my feedback

The spiral doesn’t go deep enough into the ground. My dog is within the weight range but was able to pull it out of the ground easily.

Pros
  • I ended up returning this do to the fact I no longer had need of it.
Cons
  • The cable may fray over time, reducing its strength and durability

Very sturdy, fasy delivery, well made!

My 11 year old dachshund (15 lbs) loves to sit outside on the patio and I needed something just to insure he wouldn’t wander off or run off when someone else walks by with their dog. So far, this has worked perfect. The tie-up is thinner than pictured, but is really perfect for my needs.

Pros
  • This works great. I just wish it had a longer cable.
Cons
  • Not impenetrable.

Keeps your dog in place

I was a little hesitant to use this since it was such a low price compared to what my pet store had in stock (the one we were replacing). However, this was super easy to install and my mid sized dog was not able to pull it out or escape like the other one. Highly recommend this :-)

Pros
  • I used it to tie down my BBQ Grill. Heavy Winds in Ny. Works great.
Cons
  • After using it twice the clip got jammed.

Works but isn’t sturdy

My dog bent the stake within the first 30 mins on the chain. Still works just not sturdy enough for my dog Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • It’s OK it’s a little bit short and nothing but it’s OK
Cons
  • The stake may become loose over time, posing a risk of escape for the dog
