I was glad to purchase this part at a reasonable price - thanks. Mechanical issue - casting may vary slightly. The recessed area to hold the metal sleeve to the cable is too small and I had to carefully cut it out a bit larger. After I made this change, the installation went smoothly. Note: There were other reviews that mentioned this issue as well.

It was a lot more profitable than a new power window. I installed them and they work great. If only the door was easier to disassemble. Tip for Passat builders: Do not mount the clip on the metal bracket until you have mounted the clips on the rail. It's not that easy to remove them from a metal part without breaking them, they are very tight.

Excellent product. A bit confusing to follow the instructions on UTube as some of the procedures were imprecise. as long as you keep an open mind very easy to understand. takes about an hour to R&R. You need to walk slowly and take your time. the next takes 15 minutes. :)

The tolerances on this product were TERRIBLE. The slots going around the bead on the cord were too small. I had to cut them both out with a precision blade to finally get the fit. The slot that the metal window bracket goes in wasn't even cut all the way through on one of them, so I had to cut it out and erase the bracket. in place.
