Awesome stuff! Better than wet or iced towels!

I got this a box of this stuff as part of my "doomsday" kit after the tragic earthquake and tsunami in Japan. One night soon after I got this box I nuked . err . over nuked gravy in a bowl to pour over some meatloaf. No, this was not a planned test! I picked the bowl up, burned 3 of the fingers on my right hand while using a towel to pick it up one handed, and then dropped the white hot bowl of molten gravy which then proceeded to coat and cook all 4 finger from the first knuckle down to the…

Pros
  • There is no pain control medicine in this, but great for burns.
Cons
  • Great product, but was not what was need for my shingle pain.

Excellent product! - my new review

I finally got to use one of this on one of my friends. She had a pretty painful burn on her wrist from the oven. I put this on, and she said it immediately worked. She wore it all day, and had no discomfort, it was like the burn never happened. It is moist, very simple to apply, and doesn't seem to dry up, or stick to the wound. I used an ace bandage around it. Just a great product. I would recommend this for any good first aid kit. I sure wish I had known about these before, they would have…

Pros
  • Soothes and relieves painful burns quickly
Cons
  • The product may not be useful for burns that are caused by extreme heat or cold

The best product for a serious burn wound.

There is nothing better for a serious wound that just won't close and heal when using the traditional gauze dressing. These pads will close a two-week-old wound in two days. I bought a similar product from another seller which arrived immediately. Here, I had to wait too long for the pads to arrive and my wound was already healed by then. But I still recommend them. It's good to have them in your emergency kit in case they are ever needed as the local pharmacies never seem to have them.

Pros
  • August 6, 2003
Cons
  • The pads may not adhere well to all skin types, such as those with very dry or oily skin

A Bit Pricey, but the Relief is Worth the Money!

I'm the world's worst when it come to sunburn (I'm very fair-skinned; I don't sit in the sun at all). I occasionally get a small burn from being outdoors when I didn't expect it, and these are EXCELLENT for alleviating the pain of such a burn, especially if it's underneath clothing. They're a little tricky to handle, but considering the relief they offer, they're well worth it. Be aware that this size is quite small; if you have any sort of large burn (more than a couple of square inches)…

Pros
  • Can be used for bike or sports-related injuries
Cons
  • The pads may not be useful for burns that are located on areas of the body that are frequently exposed to moisture, such as the groin or underarms

Works amazing! Keep them in your first aid kit!

I got a really nasty 2nd degree burn and was trying to take care of it with what I had in my med kit, but it was always hurting and itching, so I bought these. They have done wonders for my healing. The inflammation is down and the itchiness has lessened. It does leave your fingers pruned to all getup but at least it’s better than the cracking blisters and constant pulsing pain i had previously (no infection, just pain). Over all my finger is on the mend. The medium patches worked great to…

Pros
  • Can be used for minor sunburns
Cons
  • The pads may not be effective for burns that are caused by exposure to certain chemicals or substances, such as asbestos or lead

healed so quickly for my opinion

My husband had burns on his legs from bonfire. I got these to put on and couldn't believe how much better these healed vs. antibiotic cream and gauze. After about a week, you could hardly tell he had been burned.

Pros
  • No issues
Cons
  • Some users may experience discomfort or pain when applying the pad to their burn

Best burn remedy good for me

Since I spend almost everyday cooking meals for my family I tend to get burned while cooking, baking. My Pharmacist recommended them to me over 10 years ago and I have always had these handy. I just place these on burn and wrap with wrap to keep moist. They dry out after 2-3 days so I just remove and replace with another pad.Another plus after using pads as it healed is the scar is very faint.Hard item to buy when you need it, but revain got it to me the following day. Always keep in the first…

Instant, long-lasting pain relief

Today I burned my forearm on a cast iron pan I was seasoning as I was pulling it from the oven on 400°f. So it was this gloriously painful hot metal/grease burn combo. I immediately washed the burn with cold water and dawn (because of the grease) and applied one of these patches. The "instant relief” was no joke. It felt much better quite quickly. It made it feel cool and gave instant pain relief. I wrapped my arm, with the gel patch in place, in coban and it’s been 4 hours and still no blister

Pros
  • Can be used in conjunction with other burn treatments
Cons
  • The pads may not be effective for burns that are accompanied by other respiratory or breathing issues, such as asthma or COPD

This is THE MUST HAVE PRODUCT for ANY burn blister!

My 10 year old was helping to cook and burned her arm on a skillet. It was very painful, but not too scary until she scraped the blister off while we were at the Lake.yuck. The wound was scary after that & I desperately went to the pharmacy store trying to find something to treat it. I found an antiseptic foaming cleanser and 1 little box of these gel burn pads. I bought several tapes to hold the thing in place and this thin stretchy cut-to-size mesh to lightly hold everything in place. The…

Pros
  • Helps prevent scarring
Cons
  • The pads may not provide sufficient relief for burns that are accompanied by strong pain or discomfort

Faster healing and less pain from burns!

These work very well for kitchen burns and scrapes. They immediately cool the burnt area and speed up healing. I think they have actually lessened the extent of blistering if I apply immediately. These are expensive but worth it! I now buy them in a quantity of 25 to be sure I don't run out.I usually keep these on with paper tape, since I am allergic to Tegaderm. In order to do so, I leave the exterior wrapper on; I found that if I apply tape directly to this, it dries out much too fast.Spenco…
