Great bang for the buck!

High quality tools at competitive prices. It just feels good in the hand. A great tool to have in your box if you are an avid cyclist. Use it to remove and replace the master link in your chain.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

I'm glad I finally have the right tool for the job

For years I've played around with the tools I had on hand: chain hooks, needle nose pliers, bare hands, etc. d . added another tool to the garage. No regrets - it saves time and reduces the frustration of maintenance jobs that I've always put off. If I lose this one, I'll immediately buy another one.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I'll write back later

Sturdy and beautifully made

When I stumbled upon these I was hesitating between buying a pair of park calipers and buying a half price fake one. KMC makes good chains so I figured their chain tools would work as well. Very happy when they arrived. They are strong and beautifully made. I have no regrets that I took them, not Park, and they are cheaper.

No more frustration removing a chain link.

Why did I wait so long for this tool? Of course the pliers I worked with to separate the links, but with their help it now takes literally 5 seconds to remove the links. Guys if you're in doubt about getting this, don't wait like me. It's worth having in your toolbox. As for the mounting pliers, we all know you don't need them :)

Pros
  • Package length: 2.54 cm
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Worked very well as expected!

Nothing to say, everything works very well as expected. In the past I could manually "unpair" the Sram and Vipperman master links, but I couldn't unlink the master. Link (called "Missing Links" by KMC) on my 11 speed KMC chain. This tool worked great. These pliers are better than the PARK TOOL pliers because they have a spring that opens the jaws by themselves.

Pros
  • Packing height: 22.86 cm
Cons
  • High price

Work with one hand. for power tools and hand tools

I have several tools in two different conditions. I stock a missing link park tool so I had to buy another here on the west coast. This time I went for the missing link opener from KMC and I really like it better than the Park version. The difference is that KMC has a spring and Park doesn't. To use the parking tool, you must manually grasp and open the tool with both hands, then slide it into the slots to push the two halves together and release the master/faulty link. After that, you need to…
