Chevrolet-GMC Front Bumper License Bracket Replacement Part (GM1068101 Partslink Compatible) Review

When we got out of the state of not having a faceplate I bought a used holder from a landfill. The part used has been damaged. But hey, it was a used part, wasn't it? Then I found out that this part is available. Wish I had known about this part sooner had I saved my $10. It makes my old 96 look a lot better from the front. The only downside is that the chrome plate frame is too wide to fit in the holder's recess. Its width is just enough for a plate.

I bought this LIC license plate holder for my 97 GMC Sierra C1500 SLE. Screws on the bottom holes of the metal bumper are perfect. The block itself is solid and well made. I honestly thought it would be a bit flimsy and cheap but was pleasantly surprised. The only thing I didn't like is that they don't have nuts and bolts to attach them to the bumper or bezel on the unit itself. It doesn't matter because I have a lot of these in my garage. Overall good quality for the price.

Overall this is a good OEM replacement. Illinois cymbals are too wide for this cymbal holder, the side edges do not fit into the grooves. However, the size of the original holder was correct. But the difference in size doesn't seem to affect how well the screws hold the panel in place. The plate is slightly bent in the middle. And I'm not sure yet if this affects the holding ability of the screws. He got on the bumper with no problem. And as someone else mentioned, this holder doesn't come with
