Works best in gas caps

Seems to be an exact replacement for my old 2006 Tahoe cap. The plastic cable on my old one snapped and out of habit I kept dropping the cap just to let it go. This is great value

Check engine light is still on

Was replaced with these and after a few rides I still get the "Tighten gas cap" message and the next day my check engine light comes on. Too bad it didn't work for me.

What can I say, it's a gas cap, the problem is that the description doesn't say if it's a threaded cap or a snap cap, I have mine for traverse Bought but I have a threaded cap so this one doesn't fit.

Avoid Trash in Caps

This was the correct cover for my 2007 Silverado. He capped it, twisted it, clicked it, and latched it. He grabbed the cable and pulled the cap right out of the filler neck. Avoid trash and hassles. Switch to AC/Delco.

Does not fit 2007 Chevy/GMC 1500 gas tank

The cap would not screw into my gas tank. It was the correct thread type (triangle) but didn't seem deep enough to reach my pickup's filler neck as advertised.

I thought maybe the first one was bad so I bought the second one. No, these things just suck. I tried tightening it after "three clicks" and the "Check Engine" light still comes on. Just spend your money and buy an AC/Delco unit.

Does NOT fit my Tahoe

The description says it fits my Tahoe but it doesn't. I waited a long time for it to arrive and then it didn't fit - am very disappointed and will be sending it back. I've been trying to avoid going to the dealer but I think I have to do it now.

Not suitable. fits cap

Despite entering the correct information for my 2004 Tahoe, the gas cap just doesn't fit. There are small triangles of raised plastic on the cap that make it difficult to insert into the pipe to the gas tank. In their defense, my local Chevrolet dealer also ordered the wrong part. However, it is very annoying that the tank cap is missing and you then order the supposedly right one, but it doesn't fit. I can only give one star although I don't know what the problem is.

I've changed the gas cap many times over the years because the check engine light came on.

My Silverado has a chronic problem with the "Tighten fuel cap" message. I always check the gas cap and make sure it "clicks" three times. After a while the Check Engine light comes on, alerting me to a small vapor leak. Once it does, it will almost never go away on its own. This dashboard is driving me crazy! I took my truck to a Chevrolet and another shop and asked them to just fix it. So far no one has suggested I do anything other than buy a new gas cap (I've always used a Delco product) or…
