Big disappointment. I bought this because my old magnetic knife board is too small and I will be having more knives in the near future. On this brand new board I tried the following knives: Zwilling Pro 8" Chef's Knife, Shun Classic 8" Chef's Knife, Zwilling Pro Bread Knife, Dalstrong Shogun Series X Vegetable Slicer. I just assembled my knife block and I love it. The pre-drilled screw holes lined up perfectly with the finished product and it was easy to attach the base to the magnet block. I'm probably more than impressed that they included a Phillips head screwdriver in the kit. My knife block has nice wood grain color variations for nice visual interest. I'm not going to kill this thing with one star because it's a cheap alternative to some of the much more expensive options. However, you get what you pay for and I returned it immediately.
