Excellent network cable repair kit

This is a winner! I was able to make some custom-length network cables, saving money versus buying new cables. Pictured is a cable I cut in half, so I can have better cable management and neatness around my router and network switch.The crimper is compact (just over 5 inches), lightweight, but still sturdy. Cable cutter broke on first use

I will start with the positives:The set is really pretty inexpensive for what you are gettingThe pass-through connectors are pretty good (100% success in the cables I have made so far)The end-crimper end of the tool works fantasticallyThe stripper tool works quicklyI have been working with a very high quality cable (Monoprice Cat6 solid copper riser) which is very stiff and the inner wires are hard to get through the heads as necessary however it is doable. decent package if you only need it once in awhile

the value of the package of tools is pretty good, but the tools individually are so-so. if you just need it for a few jobs and can afford to be super careful and take your time, this has mostly everything you need. anything more and i would invest more on decent individual tools.- the pass-through crimper and connectors will probably run close to this price alone. the cable strip hole on the crimper cuts into the wire pairs half the time, which is annoying. the actual crimp action is pretty…

First time crimping, all worked well

I've never crimped a cable before this set did the job without any problems. The crimper, tester and connectors worked like a charm, the networks functions as expected. Overall, very good value for the money.

Good value for the money

I have always made network cables with the old style tool that is not pass thru and lining up the wires was always a pain in the butt and I would dread making network cables the few times a year I needed it. Been eyeing the pass thru tools for a very long time and it just came up that I needed a network cable tester too and stumbled upon this kit with the crimper, rj45 jacks, cutter and tester all in one. What you need when you need it.

I I didn't need to make network cables often but I don't have steady enough hands to do it the old way. I wanted to do pass through the showed up for a good price and even came with a tester to make sure I did it the right way on both ends. Big Time saver and didn't test my patience much. I wouldn't call this high quality but I would call it high value.

Good Bargain! good for me

so far the kit has been working flawlessly. The tester was DOA on arrival, but it was just a dead battery. I wont knock a star off for that because it's a long boat ride from china. I still feel it was a great bargain for any DIY homeowner.

Better than expected!

I wasn't sure about the crimper or the tester when I purchased these for a work project, but WOW! They worked a LOT better than I had ever expected it would! Glad I had purchased these!
