Doesn't fit, bad gasket - 2005 Cooper S

Tried this to avoid buying a whole new gas cap due to a P0456 light but honestly just bought a new gas cap from FCP for $16. After installing this on a service engine shortly after cleaning it, the P0456 light came on immediately, the rubber didn't match the gas cap plastic very well. Bought a new gas cap and the SES light is gone.

Worked (briefly)

Gasket fitted well and fixed the evaporative system fault that caused the check engine light to come on. I would give 5 stars if it didn't cost ten times as much. Next time I think I'll measure and order a reasonably sized square o-ring for just pennies. I think one of them will work. This article is not much different. Addendum: Didn't last long. About a month later came the check engine code. Went ahead and spent the money on a new OEM gas cap.

no more check engine light

During a recent service on my '06 R53 I noticed the CEL popping out after buttoning all the buttons up. Thinking it had something to do with the work I was doing, I read the code and started looking under the hood to make sure I wasn't breaking anything. I then checked the gas cap and found a noticeable crack through its gasket. I ordered a gas cap replacement. I wasn't very happy with the fit. So I sent it back after finding this replacement gasket for my original lid. Has been running for aโ€ฆ

This gasket is a miracle ๐Ÿ˜Žยฎ

My Mini had an idle problem for almost a year, the engine light came on every time I filled up. codes? They said I had them all and no one, not even BMW, could find the problem. I'm practically building a brand new Mini and changing every available detail. I was looking for a solution because it's personal now and I said let me get this rubber gasket just to check it out. Before I replaced I had a Christmas tree on my dash about how much light, engine, Ep, Em etc I had. Replacing the gasketโ€ฆ

Gas Cap Gasket in Caps

I received warnings to check the gas cap and warnings about small leaks in the evaporator system which soon triggered the service engine warning light. I already replaced the cap with a standard OEM part a little over a year ago. I had no idea I could just replace the gasket until I saw it on the Revain, so I didn't keep the old gas cap. When I got a new seal. I removed the old one and compared it. The old seal was green rubber and looked thicker and thinner compared to the new black seal which

Then it was fine for a few weeks. :(.

Easy to apply. Material noticeably thinner than the original. Grey-black, not green. Once and noticed that the thickness of the inner seal was uneven. There was a cut (about 5mm long ), which was noticeably thinner, so thin you could see through it than the rest. I didn't check carefully when I installed it (didn't expect it), so I don't know how bad it was before I got it I don't use any tools to install it so I know I didn't damage it anyway it might just be bad luck getting what I did it was

  • Delivery was very fast
