Brakemaster - Steering System

Worked great on a 650 mile trip as described. Easy to install, remove and store. It would be nice to have cleanliness protectors on quick couplers.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Need more instructions on how to adjust the brakes.

Excellent machine. I wish it had more instructions on how and where to set the gap so you don't brake the car hard. I'm pretty sure I welded my rotors on the first leg of the trip. withdrawn 2 holes. Not enough. Moved 1 hole forward, everything is fine now.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Why doesn't H&*@ have an installation tutorial video on YOUTUBE!?

Installation instructions are difficult to read and understand. I feel like they were written like a twisted puzzle that I must solve to save my life! It's also almost impossible to find a step-by-step video anywhere on the internet. Serious!? Why doesn't H&*@ have an installation tutorial on YOUTUBE these days!? It still doesn't end up plugged in, and I had to order two more pieces that come separately to get the thing working. BUOOOO!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • No performance

The best braking system

In my opinion this is one of the best braking systems on the market. I installed it on a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Installation was very easy, you had to remove the driver's seat to drill a hole and install the bracket. All I had to do was get a front air intake bracket to mount my blue ox receiver to the front of the jeep. Hooking it up couldn't be easier as my bus already has air brakes and a connector on the back of the towbar. The first trip was to Florida and it was amazing how this helped the…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Only available in white

Only brakes when braking hard. Very difficult to install

The instructions only show vans with early brakes that don't use anti-lock braking. The guide doesn't just have the last 18 years, so you'll have to spend a lot of time googling to figure out how to hook up the bus air brake system. This is NOT the worst problem. We have just returned from a 2400 mile trip and this system is the worst and least efficient I have ever used! It applies the brakes of the towed vehicle only under very hard braking. So 99 percent of the time, slowing down doesn't…

Pros
  • One year test
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
