They are not fat. They are described as durable, but they are not. Since they're advertised as outdoor, they really need to be durable. We put them on the front steps, which are cement, and they slide around all over the place because they're so light. At the same time they are beautiful. Unfortunately they don't work because of what I need them for.

It doesn't really have much traction, so it's not quite suitable for this purpose. I feel like I'll have to use sandpaper to help him out. You also need to glue the middle parts as well as the sides because they are flimsy and move too easily. I don't think this works properly in extreme weather like snow or ice or even heavy rain. If you want something for that purpose, go to the home store and get the real deal.

I ordered these. Well because they were the cheapest. They are nicely packaged and fit nicely on my porch steps. Although the ice and snow behind it (hopefully!) looks nice. They are thin but not too thin - about what you would expect. And they seem to be well made. I didn't experience the pattern not being completely cut out or having a strong smell like some reviews say. I didn't use tape, they work well on concrete steps with or without. Good product at a good price.

I live in PNW so it gets wet a lot. My new home is on a hill and walking down the stairs one cold morning I almost walked through the stairs. I checked amazon and they had the best prices. I am very glad I bought them as they protect the front and back stairs from slipping on the ice in the morning.
