Rugged Ridge cares more about your money than making a good product.

The answer from above factor is incorrect. The rear fenders do not attach to the rear wheel arches, only to the factory bumper. It even says so in the manufacturer's installation instructions. So I paid for the front and back protection and can only use the fronts I installed before noticing the manufacturer error on this page. All other negative reviews of the mounting system are correct; designed by someone who has probably never tested them on the intended vehicle.

GREAT! Just use other devices.

This is a great addition to JK. I have Sahara X Edition 2015. So the footpegs were just stone handrails. We had a lot of mud and snow on the side of the jeep. Installation was fairly easy with some careful dremel work. What surprised me was the crappy equipment. I bought front and rear kits and both kits came with completely different hardware which was pretty crappy stuff. Instead I bought a pack of 8mm plastic fender clips and fixed the hardware issue. I now have a setup that looks like it…

Very good fit and finish

Very good fit and finish adding class/style to this tough off-road beast. These flaps installed with some difficulty as the 2015 Jeep JK fender underskirt was slightly longer than the product mounting holes. By cutting out two small slots for cage nut terminals, the process was able to be completed in about 90 minutes. The included washers (front set) were awfully small and slipped right through the mounting holes in the plastic fenders when the bolts were tightened. There were no washers for…

Quality goods, equipment and instructions could be better.

Mudguards are reliable and aesthetic. However, as mentioned in other reviews, the installation guide cannot be followed exactly. When using the front fender as a drilling template, some holes are placed too far from the edge of the fender liner to use the speed clamps effectively. As a result, the customer only has to mount 3-4 screws or use another fastening method. I see two possibilities here. Partial redesign to adapt the hole pattern on the front rails or a hybrid mounting method with…

First off, let me say that I never write reviews, but I should do this one because I hope the company sees it and fixes it. So the fenders are nice and look great, the reason for reviewing the mech is that the equipment is totally useless and the instructions are even worse. If you buy this kit, do yourself a huge favor and go to the hardware store and buy about 20 washers that are larger than the mounting holes on the skid plate. The ones provided are so small that with the right amount of…

Defects in design and execution.

Fenders fit and look good once fitted. Unfortunately, the kit included the wrong set of fasteners, making a relatively easy job (aside from the fact that you have to temporarily remove the car's wheels to have adequate access during installation) a Kester pain in the neck. The supplied J-Clamps are not designed to attach to the edge of the 1/8th thick material of the wings that the guards attach to, but rather sheet metal no more than half that thickness. The J-Clamps have to be opened with a…

Great guards but took a little while to install

I bought these not knowing they weren't made for the 2015 JK. Luckily the contours of the front and rear fenders match those of the 2015 JK, the only problem is that some of the pre-drilled holes don't line up with the edges of the front wheel arches. Here are a few things I found: The bottom fender flare clip needs to be removed (yellow circle). The existing clearance hole in the expander matches the hole in the fender. The #1 green circle is pre-drilled in the fender, but is a few inches from

These RRs look like they'll do the job

I was debating whether to buy these fenders or Mopar fenders but a visit to the RR website gave me the support I needed . The RR fenders seem to be just as good as the Mopars I've seen. Took about 2 hours to assemble including wheel removal (just do it and don't be nervous). Remember I have air tools to speed up this process. I didn't really like the included Phillips steel screws. I drive daily on both paved and unpaved roads that have been treated with magnesium chloride (not sodium chloride…
