🚙 Enhanced Off-Road Steering Box Brace for Jeep Cherokee XJ (1984-2001) Review

Installed in about 1/2 hour and was easy to do with standard hand tools and a drill. This provides additional support for attaching the steering gear to the XJ's one-piece body. This is great when running larger than stock tires.

After breaking the mounting tabs on a pair of steering gears, I finally decided to buy one of these brackets. Can't believe I didn't buy it sooner, the steering is a lot less messy and installation was a breeze, only taking about an hour.

Real garage. The length is wrong. Mine was about 1 inch longer. The brackets for the gearbox were too wide and the holes drilled too small, so the hardware sent did not fit until the re-drilling. When the frame's side holes were drilled into the mount, they were apparently blindfolded, nowhere near the right spot. In short, if you can read roulette, don't buy this. Make your own or buy something with a good name. My dog could do a better mount than her.

Ordered for 99xj Sport. I currently work with 33 4" RE lifts. Adjustable upper and lower arms. My steering gear pops a little when I turn the shark right when the wheels are already turned left. (Hard to explain). I have it narrowed down to a steering box that flexes with the steering rack. I put my hand in and felt it every time. The package arrived with no instructions.
