Good for the price - Receiver and Amplifier

Good for the price. I connect it to my Denon x4100w to power a pair of ceiling speakers. Class A/B amplifier plus. Seems to be a solid clean force so far. The main reason I deducted a star is the annoying red/orange power/standby light. It's 10x brighter than anything else in my entertainment rack. It's so bright that it blinds you when you're working nearby.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • A long time ago

Sound quality is what I said

This creates a flatter sound on my pair of BICs and Pioneer bookshelves. BUT the performance at rated power of 60W into 8 ohms is weak. I have to turn up the volume on my preamp to get any decent sound out of this thing. As I said, the sound quality made my 2 bookshelves sound flatter and clearer. Just complain about the power. Doesn't look like 60 watts. More like 40 watts.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Excellent for this money. No complaints.

Great value for money. I connect two wall speakers and a small (center channel) speaker to it. Each speaker leads to a separate room. Wall speakers sound fantastic. I set the power to 50% because any higher value degrades the sound quality. But regardless, at 50% gain and 100% volume of the music source, the music is loud enough to make conversation impossible.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

The perfect amplifier for alternative Zone 2 speaker sets!

The perfect amplifier for our Zone 2 speakers in our 3 room speaker switching system and patio. Even with all 4 pairs of speakers turned on, we can keep the amplifier power at 50%, and that's loud enough for comfortable listening. However, it doesn't include any tone controls, causing the signal to flatten out a bit in the mid-range. If I routed that to an additional EQ that would be perfect! But I still recommend it for any multiroom application where you need a separate amplifier to powerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Fits

We use this amplifier to power two small bookshelf speakers, one in our office and the second outdoor speaker on the patio. The speaker wire was already installed in the house, so I preferred to use it instead of using wireless. The Russound P75 delivers enough power to play both pairs of speakers at the same time. We connected a Bluetooth receiver to the input so we can stream directly to Russound from our iPhones. This is the perfect setup for us. We didn't need all the extras of theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

Russound does not guarantee products sold at Revain

Be careful with anyone who buys Russound products at Revain. I bought this amp in March and it has worked great for 3 months. Then one day it stopped working. I heard a pop and then I noticed burning smell and some smoke. I spoke to Russound and they said they offer no guarantee since I bought it from Revain. Dozens of Russound products are sold on Revain by numerous third party vendors and by Revain itself. I don't think I need to check the company's website to see if they offer warrantyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's ok
