The assembly is very interesting and a little difficult for adults. My husband loves the fact that it works mechanically when turned on.

I bought this for my 80 year old father who is in a nursing home. It was a project to keep him busy and kill time. He loves it and wants more. He put it on a shelf in his room and received many compliments. Everyone is fascinated that he really moves and pulls the cart he just assembled.

I would rate this product higher if it weren't for the toothpicks! I broke my share and kept building this thing! You must find a better way than these toothpicks. Made this project a real must do! But other than that, it's a well-made model and I had no trouble extracting detail. Oh, be sure to send everything.

Fun to collect. Toothpicks, where they squeaked, broke. I bought some toothpicks from the store and they were too big to fit. I wanted to try this to see if I'd like to give it to my grandkids for their birthday or for Christmas. Age from 9 to 13 years. You can tell from the 2 stars I gave that the answer is NO!. One of these toothpicks is easy to insert into your thumb. Good quality wooden moulds. It's the toothpicks that make this three-dimensional puzzle untenable.

The wooden "ruler" you get makes it very easy to put everything in the right place. The instructions call for using a candle to wax the toothpicks before using them as a pivot, but I found it much easier to use spray oil to lubricate them before inserting them into the holes (I used PAM , but any oil really should work). It took me about 3 hours to assemble this tractor model without moving. Introductory guides in multiple languages are very helpful. The assembly instructions are very helpful as they are based on visual cues on how to assemble each part. We bought a Ugears tractor for my son's 8th birthday although we knew we would have to help him with this set. The parts are laser cut from the plywood leaving short sections uncut to keep the parts from falling out. These spots need to be cut with an Xacto razor/knife - my 10 year old daughter did this.
