Stupid fast SSD on HDD Accessory

Just installed on my new Ryzen 3000 build The first thing I had to do after booting up was see how fast this drive was. It didn't disappoint. 4873 MB/s reading and 4213 MB/s writing. For the price, the speed is currently unbeatable. All you need is an expensive X570 motherboard with a new AMD processor.

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Slightly torn

A special TB3 cable is required!

Like all other customer comments about the need for a custom TB3 cable. NONE of my existing TB3 cables will connect to this case. I haven't decided yet if I'll try shaving off the connector on one of my TB3 cables to see if I can plug it into the recessed socket on the case. Easy to install and replace NVME SSD.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Unknown TBW Rating Best HDD Enclosure

This SSD conforms to the new PCIe 4.0 standard and there aren't many options. It offers speeds of up to 5000MB/s (read) and 4400MB/s (write), which is significantly faster than PCIe 3.0, which is why I chose it. I risked this device even though neither the Revain websites nor the Sabrent websites had a TBW (Terrabytes Recorded) rating. This SSD is based on Toshiba BiCS4 96L TLC NAND Flash so I hope it lasts. Unknown TWB rating is the reason for only 4 stars; The performance so far is very fast.

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • Updates Available

Incredibly fast, affordable price, good capacity.

One of the first PCIe4 NVMe SSDs on the market and the most affordable yet. I bought it so buying a x570 board with 3900x at least makes sense. Speeds, lots of capacity for the price for this kind of speed, easy installation like any m.2 and the motherboard's built-in heatsink is more than adequate even with constant transmission. Games load quickly, timeline cleanup is flawless, and Boots OS is up and running very quickly. Overall, worth a small premium for early adopters, no worries, and…

Died after a month, no guarantee.

Used this drive for about a month, at first the NVME 4.0 read speed was a bit slow, my 3.0 WD Black was faster but I managed because there wasn't much difference in loading time. then it happened this morning, the reset system woke up with an error "there is no system disk". The drive died completely just days after the 30-day return period. (Numbers) After waiting a week for an RMA response, I received an email saying I was not entitled to a replacement. although I've had it a little over a…

Proprietary USB cable? No thank you!

While it's not the fastest TB3 NVMe case out there, I was excited because it felt sleek and practical. A solid piece of metal casing that I can use without tools? Sign me up! But. The USB connector is countersunk and has two notches that prevent us from using a standard TB3 cable. Just look at the pictures. It also doesn't seem to sell any replacement cables that are compatible with it. What happens if I lose the cable or it breaks? Buy a new suitcase? Modify my existing cables to fit their…

  • Computer Accessories and Peripherals
Cons
  • Slightly torn

This Sabrent NVME was installed on a new X570 Aorus Master motherboard. Pictured above (under the cover with the red arrow on it), it works great in the first M.2 slot, which connects directly to the new Ryzen 3000 CPU, and works great with the new Navi 5700XT underneath. That works great. It was immediately recognized in the BIOS and I had no problems installing Windows 10 Pro on it. As one of the first PCIE 4.0 Nvme drives released in July 2019, it offers the fastest performance of any drive.

Pros
  • Hard Drive Enclosure
Cons
  • Questionable purchase by elderly

It's fast, running at PCIe gen speeds in my x570 master.

This is for Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4. without cooler. It's actually a very good device and at the time of my purchase it was $50-60 cheaper than the Gen4 SSD versions of Aorus or Corsair - they also use the same Phison PS5016-E16 SSD controller, Toshiba 96-layer TLC BiCS4 ( three-level cell) NAND. Sabrent also offers a 5-year warranty (you need to register it). I have the heatsinkless version because I'm using a board with an NVMe socket heatsink. The drive will deliver the speed listed

Pros
  • Computers and Accessories
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging
