Description of Safety Plate Wood Stud 100

Protects low voltage cables installed through wood from getting cut while drilling through them. This stud is hammered into upright wood studs to restrain drillers from penetrating or disturbing cables during construction. Constructed of 16-gauge steel and its dimensions are 1/2" Wide. No additional screws or nails are needed because of built in prongs. Easy installation with no time but ensures safety forever.

Secure Solution for Home Safety

After installing this product from the "Hardware" category I feel more confident in the safety of my home .The "Tools and Home Improvement" item provided an easy-to-use solution for hanging heavy items on wooden studs without worrying about the integrity of the structure. After I put it to the test, it held up surprisingly and didn't move an inch. The only downside is that it only works with wooden studs, so it may not be versatile enough for some homes. NOT AS ADVERTISED - Door Hardware & Locks

Unfortunately these plates are not available in 3" size. They only protect 2 1/2 inches of wood. Not what I needed in my unique situation.
