Grips break best in tire repair kits

Grips with set screws are a complete joke. When trying to flip the tire, the handle broke right at the set screw. I had to use pliers to pull the reamer out of the tire. I'm glad I was at home where I could finish my work with other instruments. Looks good in the box but after FIRST USE it was destroyed without doing its job. Today I will buy something else.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Expensive

Pays to buy the best

Like I said. My dad has had this set for as long as I can remember. I have used it for myself and others many times. This is the kit that pros use. There are loads of other half price brands out there with all the extra bullshit to make the kit seem more desirable. This kit contains the essential tools for puncture repair. If you don't have dams or pliers to remove a screw or nail, you've overdone the repair. Buy once and you won't regret it.

High-quality tire repair kit! 😃

I've had quality tire repair kits from the auto parts store over the years, quite a few actually. Tool handles break all the time. This tool is built to last, being all metal and designed for very heavy duty applications. You need a lot of effort to break the tools in this set. The instructions are well written in English. Made in America, it often comes out on top in quality. It's expensive for a tire repair kit, but if you've ever broken one of the cheap tools and dropped the tool's shaft in…

Tried and true and worth the extra cost - MADE IN USA

I'm very glad I spent more on this than manure waste. I had a pretty big puncture in a new tire. I fixed it as usual. First I used Chinese cheaper green and black materials along with their gum slime. In short, it flowed, flowed, and flowed. I stumbled across this product while looking for a new tire so thought I would buy it and see if there is a difference, also I needed a kit for another car anyway so what the heck. In short, the thing works! I pulled out the old plug and cemented it, then…

Beautiful high quality set

Excellent tire repair kit. There may be some confusion as to whether this will fit full size trucks as they sell a separate truck kit. I assume it's for monster tires. It worked great on my Toyota Tundra. Between the steps was a small nail. Because the hole was so small, considerable force was required to insert the tool into the hole. .What pleased me is that it is high quality steel. After that it was pretty easy. Safety Seal has a nice YouTube video showing the whole process…

  • Handy item

Saved 2 tires in the last 1.5 years.

We have two cars in our family, both with run-flat tyres. As you may know, no one wants to fix an RFT for grip reasons (feared you had a flat tire and caused severe sidewall wear). In my case, a nail hole costs $300 for a tire change. I got my first nail when the car's tire had under 5,000 miles - still brand new. Nobody would even touch him. Received this set and thought it had good reviews so worth a try. 30,000 km driven, still holding up. I might have 10-20k left on these tires before they…

Great DIY Nail Tire Plug Repair Kit

After a tire has been 'fixed' in Good Years it will slowly leak requiring weekly air fills then eventually changing the tire there and lastly after attempting to sign up for a " "free" tire service, only to come up with the all-day online scheduler at the end of the day, I decided to do everything myself. I originally ordered the $8 Slime kit but saw the top reviews for the Safety Seal on Revain and then bought the kit. I saw an online product video on the Safety Seal website explaining that…
