Great fit - waterproof

Shoes fit perfectly - very comfortable. He walked on wet grass, his feet stayed dry. Expect the shoe to last many years just like my previous Salomon. It's a bit stiff now, but wears well.

Pros
  • Protects your feet from sharp rocks, pebbles and debris
Cons
  • They may not be appropriate for individuals who require a different type of shoe for their particular outdoor activity.

Extremely narrow + 1/2 " shorter than the latest GTX model

Much smaller and lighter than the previous Salomon GTX. Please increase the size by at least 1/2 when ordering. I have a normal average foot of 11. It's somewhere in the 10's. Very tight at the ball of the foot from left to right.

Pros
  • Can be worn with or without socks
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for people with calluses or calluses.

6 days Yosemite and good prospects for the flight home

These shoes were immediately comfortable. I hiked 6 days in Yosemite and they were perfect for asphalt, mud and wet granite. Goretex cleaned up and looked good on the way home. Slightly warmer than we'd like, but that's the price for the outer protection.

Pros
  • Provides optimal cushioning for your feet
Cons
  • They may not provide enough cushioning for people with sensitive feet.

Great hiking shoes: my review

I have 3 pairs of these shoes because I love them so much! I use them both for hiking and as everyday shoes. I like to wear waterproof shoes in wet areas and they are great for winter hiking in the snow.

Pros
  • Ideal for any outdoor enthusiast
Cons
  • Shoelaces may not hold up over time

not wide as stated

I wear 13 or 14 D shoes (depending on brand and style). This pair was designated 13 EE. Obviously mislabeled and I could tell someone had previously tried and returned it. Very tight. The box was also torn on one end, but the shoes were not damaged.

Pros
  • Offers excellent protection from the elements
Cons
  • Size may not match.

The best mountain shoes

By far my favorite GoreTex hiking shoe! I've tried different brands including Merrill, Keen and other Solomon styles. Conveniently ready to use without interruption. I don't stand in streams, but I keep my feet dry from wet grass. I use them for disc golf which is about 1.5 miles long. Other brands had trouble separating the rubber outsole from the outsole due to the pivot bearing being pulled over the concrete tee. This design is more durable in these areas and can withstand rough treatment…

Pros
  • Provides excellent arch support
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for people with flat feet.

Would buy again. - my new rating

Surprisingly light, with good cushioning and unlike other running shoes, your toes stay dry when walking in the rain. Would definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Easy to put on and take off
Cons
  • Gore-TEX material can wear out over time.

Dirty shoes? Shame on Walmart.

These shoes arrived with patches on the left upper. I paid for new shoes and gave used ones back to someone. Too bad they aren't available right now. Lucky for Walmart, I need them this weekend. It's no time to give them back. They fit a little on the small side, but it should work. Generally good shoes. The real test will be to see how long they last. I will use them for light to medium hikes and walks. I only wish I had gotten new ones instead of the dirty boots.

Pros
  • Stylish design for every urban adventure
Cons
  • You can't breathe

Wears out very quickly.

I've had several of these shoes and each lasted a year under heavy use, but these wore out in just a few months. Not sure why. I would order another pair but I'm afraid to spend money just to get the same results.

Pros
  • Offers improved performance on the track
Cons
  • Shoes may not fit snugly around the heel, causing slippage.

High-quality hiking shoes - light and comfortable.

A well made shoe that looks like the perfect cross between sneakers and hiking shoes. Shoes, as a rule, are narrow and somewhat small. I usually wear a US 10.5 and based on other reviews I went for a US 11. Even then I thought they might be too tight on the first try. But after walking a bit, my feet got used to it. Worn them for a 3 mile walk to make sure they fit perfectly. Arch support is also excellent. Finally light weight, stylish and high quality materials.

Pros
  • Does not wear out easily
Cons
  • They may not offer enough flexibility for people who need them.

I wish Goretex was more inclusive

So the outlines are marketed as GTX and while it's not mids I feel like the GTX part needs to be more inclusive. I think it's more for puddles, so I think the mids are more useful when you're somewhere with mud. or cross small streams.

Pros
  • Can absorb and wick away excess moisture
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for people with sensitive feet.

narrow - my new rating

They must be wide. My feet are happy with old Keen shoes. They don't make them that wide anymore and the sole is terribly thin. So I'm trying to find a new favorite brand. Unfortunately, even the wide version of these shoes is not wide enough. You feel very comfortable. They are very well padded, no pressure points, just too tight. The length seems to fit, I wear 8W on Clarks unstructured, 8W on Merrell, but other than that I'm comfortable in 8.5W and they really seem to fit 8.5 in length. The…

Pros
  • Ortholite footbed for exceptional cushioning
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for people with other foot conditions.

Great shoes - my new review

I work on a tactical team and I'm tired of heavy, hot, uncomfortable boots. I switched to these and they are great! I also use them for weekend hikes. Light and flexible, yet strong enough that rough trails with small sharp rocks and uneven surfaces are no problem.

Pros
  • This is my second pair of Solomon running and hiking shoes, they fit great and you walk in them all day.
Cons
  • They may not fit properly.

very tight for my rating.

I don't have particularly wide feet. Most other shoes fit me as expected. These are very narrow shoes and they are painfully tight. They are quite long as expected but unless you have very narrow feet they give your feet a hot dog shape.

Pros
  • You wouldn't believe it, but they are actually worth the money for the quality.
Cons
  • These shoes really hurt my feet. Even just wearing them and not getting up really hurts to wear them.

Great lightweight hiking shoe for everyday use

Really good for long walks, grippy and comfortable for light hikes/gravel trials. Suitable for warm weather, not hot. Sturdy and fits well out of the box.

Pros
  • Offers optimal grip even on slippery surfaces.
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for people with hammer toes.

Great shoes! the best in my rating

I've been looking for the right shoe for months (I'm very picky) and here it is. Lightweight but with a more durable hiking sole, with Gore-Tex and good looks. Light enough to forget about them, but strong enough for light hiking. The only caveat I have is that some may find the advertised size smaller than expected. I usually wear a 11.5 (US) but I tried this size in the store and they were too tight to wear. They weren't a size 12 so I ordered them from Walmart and they were perfect - one of…

Pros
  • Padded tongue for extra comfort
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for people with plantar fasciitis.

Very comfortable shoes for hiking or walking the dog

The boots are very comfortable and I use them to walk my dog about 3 miles a day in heat, rain and snow, asphalt, concrete, wood chips, ice and snow.

Pros
  • Excellent arch support for flat feet
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for people with bones.

yes they are narrow Exactly what I needed!

I have long, skinny legs and find it difficult to find tight shoes. The description and reviews said they were tight and they are right. I'm very glad I found her.

Pros
  • I like everything except that they are a bit narrow.
Cons
  • Buy one size larger.

Good sneakers in my review.

These shoes are great. The fit was perfect and waterproof. I've only had them for a week so I hope they last a long time. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Helps with correct posture and balance
Cons
  • The size can be small or large

Comfortable but wear out quickly

Goretex is very comfortable and lightweight and seems to keep feet dry. I usually wear an American 11.5, these shoes are a 12 and fit perfectly. The biggest problem is that the outsole wears out incredibly quickly. With less than 60 miles of hiking in these boots, the front of the sole wears away almost completely. Mostly hiking in the Adirondacks/Northeast, mostly mud, with 20-mile hikes in Utah/Southern California.

Pros
  • Non-slip outsole for maximum traction on any surface
Cons
  • They may not be strong enough for outdoor activities.
