I bought two sets which gave me 10 disc holders in total. I use 10 different grits when converting my castings from rough to specular and they work great and save me a lot of time. They work perfectly with the 2 inch hook and loop discs available from Revain.

I'm a professional woodturner and I'm always finding approaches that improve my job and ideally make my life easier. This product does both. The pads are flexible, which allows the sanding disc to adhere more closely to the wood. They also have surprisingly good durability, especially given the high speed of the lathe and drill I'm working with.

It is very convenient to have separate pads for different abrasives and polishing applicators. Noticed the granularity on the yellow hard part of the block. I even drilled holes in the top of the box to make a holder. A foam insert is used for each grinding wheel, the foam conducts heat away from the grinding wheel which protects the velcro on the grinding wheel. A few ready-to-use attachments will suffice. The mandrel is pretty good and I like how the bezel attaches to it as a separate piece. If the pad needs to be replaced, you don't have to replace the entire mandrel. The arbors I used to sharpen the lathe bowl have a bonded pad. The pad is usually where it fails and tears, which is effectively the end of the mandrel. The pad on what I used is a harder sponge material that is much stronger than the sponge pads in this product. I like the firm padding material better than the soft sponge that…
