Works great in a 2022 Toshiba laptop instead of a regular drive. The speed of the regular HGST has never pleased, and with each ate of Windows 10, the load time has become longer and longer. Now booting the OS takes a matter of seconds, even after installing the antivirus and all the necessary programs. Trim works, I haven't checked read/write speeds.

These SSDs can be scams

I bought two of these from Revain and one of them failed in just over a year. When I contacted Sandisk to report the bug and submit an RMA request, they informed me that ALL their SSDs of this model come with a label on the back that provides important details to determine their validity. The SSDs I received did not have this sticker. Sandisk implies that a legitimate reseller must be verified. Buyer ATTENTION!

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Poor set

I ordered this to replace a traditional hard drive on a Dell Precision workstation. I was surprised to learn that SanDisk does not offer any application to clone your hard drive. While there are multiple options online, I expected these to be included. However, after downloading the EaseUS TODO Backup utility, I was able to clone my existing drive (Windows 10) and make the SSD my primary boot device. Replacing your spinning hard drive might be the best upgrade you can make to improve…

Xbox One update required

Finally, the price is right to upgrade your Xbox One with an external SSD. This is a big update that really speeds up load times. Tested on my old WD external Passport drive loading Forza Horizon 4, a game notorious for long loading times. My Passport: 1:55 to game screen. SanDisk SSD: 0:55 to game screen. That's a full minute faster! Download the game 60 times and you've already saved 1 hour! The Xbox One has its own official Seagate SSD, but 1TB costs $200, which I think is a complete…

Better performance, big difference in response time.

I used to have a SanDisk SSD and have been using it on my laptop for a long time. I have a 2013 laptop that I use for daily activities but not for gaming. It ran sluggishly and took over 10 minutes to load/reload, then logging in and opening Firefox/Chrome took another 2-3 minutes. I wasn't sure if it was the computer itself. It wasn't infected with malware. I decided to give it a try to see how it would work. As soon as I got it I cloned the drive to this SSD, it took about 4 hours for 350GB…

  • NCache 2.0 technology delivers blazing speed
Cons
  • It makes me angry

Never again with SanDisk. Warranty claims are valid forever!

Great drive but I will never buy a Sandisk product again. The warranty process is simple and it takes approximately 9 days to complete testing of a returned drive, whether under warranty or not. That's ridiculous! RMAs at most other big companies don't take that long and most just send you a new one and fix the old one as it's under warranty anyway, it shouldn't matter but they took forever in my warranty process and should send it then must find out that was grounded and lasted another 6 DAYS!

Pros
  • 3D NAND offers more reliability so your drive lasts longer and uses less power
Cons
  • disappears

My needs are a bit unusual as I need a high capacity temporary hard drive that isn't designed to hold data beyond a few days. Before SSDs dropped to their current price, I used 4 x 512GB Plextor drives in a striped RAID 0 array. Despite the shortcomings of this configuration, SSDs were at least MLCs. When I hit the write endurance limit on one or more SSDs, it was time to figure out what my replacement strategy would be. Login to SanDisk Ultra 2TB 3D SSD. It really doesn't get any simpler than…

Pros
  • Speed up your PC for faster boot-ups and blazing fast games and graphics
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Great update, no clone software, success tips

I bought three of these to upgrade two Dell laptops and one Dell desktop computer. The hard drive does not come with cloning software. The small attached map leads to the Sandisk/Western Digital website. After looking around you will find installation instructions and an example of using the EZ GIG IV cloning software. I tried using it on all three system updates. Each time, a SanDisk SSD connected via a regular SATA to USB cable was not properly recognized. The cloning software shows the SSD…
