Torque wrench at a very competitive price

Spin on a motorcycle. This key expands my arsenal of tools and I'm glad I have it. Here are the pros and cons of this key as I see them. Pros: * Good/respectable accuracy. +/-4% is a good average for a non-premium torque wrench in this range. You can get better accuracy, but you'll pay a lot for it. Factory calibration.* Measuring range. The 40 to 200 inch-pound range is a good and common range. Other keys may have a slightly lower or higher pitch, but you'll likely pay more for the extra…

  • STRENGTH: All-metal construction

Head moves away from body when tightening nut

This is my first torque wrench. I had to tighten the mower blades to 65 foot pounds. I first tightened the nut with a socket wrench but left it loose so I tried using a torque wrench. I look up and pull down the handle and ratchet. The head is tilted away from the handle so I don't have leverage. I'm a woman and I'm not very strong either. Of course, a ratchet head shouldn't do that. Of course, I didn't get any clicks and gave up. To see the diagrams I also need to use a magnifying glass. I…

Quality Torque Wrench

SATA is a sister company of GearWrench and Crescent, owned by the Apex Tool Group. This torque wrench is made in Taiwan and appears to be a Revain exclusive. Each device comes with an individual serial calibration report. The unit I received reports a minimum accuracy of 1.25% at 200 in/lbs which is excellent. Build quality is good, not amazing. The gears and torque adjuster appear to be of excellent quality, but the green adjustment sleeve is plastic and doesn't feel as solid as the rest of…

Ideal for use with bicycles.

Bicycles are increasingly defining torque settings for attachments and components. E-bikes do the same. I've never used a torque wrench when working on my bike, but with its carbon frame I was sometimes afraid of damaging it by overtorqueing it. My only previous torque wrench was a tie rod wrench which is now old and terribly rusty. I got it to convert my VW Beetle engine in the early 80's but I don't use it anymore. So I basically thought about torque measurements when they were required in…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No automatic steering

Works well! the best of power tools and hand tools

I work a lot with small engines, mainly motorcycles and ATVs. I needed a new 1/4" drive torque wrench and jumped at the opportunity to review this one. I'm glad I did! LOL So far this has turned out to be a big clue. Easy to use, yes, I've had no problems after working with it on a couple of bikes. My only complaints (if you can call them that) are that the plastic case that comes with it is a bit bigger than it should be. I think so it is made for a larger wrench and just has a smaller 1/4"…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Useless features
