    Take it, buy it! best pulley tool

    If you are looking for any tool, just buy it! This will save you trouble in the future. I'm a mean sob and was about to build it out of wood or metal. I'm glad I bought a plot tool instead!

    Great tool really makes the job easier

    This is a fantastic product! This is a solid piece of metal that will last for years. This makes changing the timing belt on my 2004 v6 3.4L Tacoma Double Cab a one man job! I recommend it to anyone considering this job. It will make your life much easier and save you a lot of time.

    Worked great on my V6 3

    Worked great on my V6 3.4 liter Toyota engine (5VZ-FE). A bit expensive but will save you a lot of time and hassle. With all the money saved by replacing the timing belt and water pump, I spent some money on this tool with no problems. All parts used were Toyota OEMs from reputable online retailers; big savings compared to a Toyota dealer.

    The tool made my project possible.

    I could not have loosened the crankshaft pulley bolt without this tool. The tool is specially designed for this pulley (distance and diameter of two pins) and has a very strong construction. Two of my 3/8 adapters sheared off when I retightened the bolt, but the tool didn't fail. It later turned out that the 3/8 drive was not rated for 250 ft-lb of torque. This tool can turn the biggest hurdle of timing belt replacement into a one-man job.

    Perfect for my 2002 Tacoma 3.4 V6. When tightening the crank bolt the balancer rotated a few more degrees before stopping (the bridge was in the tool and on the frame) so I figured the tool might not be holding properly, but I think the movement was due to the rubber. Twisting between sections of the balance bar. Once I figured that out, I was worried the balancer would break at 217 ft-lbs, but it tightened up just fine. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the price of this tool. It's solid, of…

    Great tool!: Tools and accessories

    This tool is worth its weight in gold. I have made several timing belt kits for Toyota trucks and have always had trouble making a homemade tool to hold the crankshaft pulley in place to remove the harmonic balancer. I decided to bite the bullet and buy a Schley tool. I'm so glad I did. The tool combined with a 1/2-inch pry bar attached to the frame made short work of the crankshaft bolt. about an hour without work.     You can probably do without it, but it's certainly nice to have

    I've worked on many 5vz and my favorite method of removing the crank bolt is a composite bodied and short infrared percussion gun Base. With the radiator out there is enough room to slide it in there without hitting the condenser, but you can just pry it out and then unscrew it by hand or the gun will interfere with the condenser.
