Crystal clear water, happy fish. Runs fast

I recently installed a 29 gallon fresh water tank. This is my first time using driftwood and live plants. After waiting several weeks for the water to clear, I decided to give Seachem a try. After about 6 hours I noticed a lot of clarity. After 24 hours it was 90% better. After 48 hours it was crystal clear and stayed crystal clear. My fish are happy and healthy. I recommend this to everyone. For its intended use I would say this is the most effective product I have ever used in an aquarium. My

Highly recommended for aquarium pumps and filters

I have used 2 packs of Purigen in my CF500 aquatope on my 110T and I have never seen my aquarium water so clean, even with driftwood in the tank. no more yellowing in the water due to tanning agents. Make sure you know your filter's flow rate and set the purifier so that the water in the filter is the last thing it contacts before returning to the tank. In my filter style, this means placing it on the top shelf of the filter canister. I have a coarse pad with a thin pad on top and biobeads in…

Not a "real " brand or completely different now?

This is not branded, I had to study it more closely but I washed it and put it in the basket as usual. Immediately started spitting cloudy water/particles into my tank! I took it out immediately, checked the bag (not torn) and washed it again. I'm considering getting it back in my tank, I've been using a REAL product for 6 years. I don't know how it is possible to get a fake on Amazon, or has the product suddenly changed for the worse? If my fish dies which I have had for over 7 years I will be

Works great for fish and aquatic animals

I've had some issues with slight haze and slight tannin washout in my 29 gallon low tech planting aquarium. I decided to give it a try and bought 2 packs just in case I needed a backup or future use elsewhere. I opened one up, rinsed it out as directed, then popped it into the top of my canister filter. After a few hours I saw a change in the water quality and the next morning the water was crystal clear. The product does not attack fish, plants and snails at all. I am very happy with my…

They really work! Much better than activated carbon filters.

Do yourself a favor and save yourself the trouble of getting your aquarium back to optimal healthy levels! Add one of these pups (or more, check the aquarium size requirements) and watch your water become clean and clear again! They really work and charge! This is my only complaint about the half stars, it takes a day to process and while it works I feel like it doesn't charge them to 100 per cent but is close. Sometimes it's easier to just buy a new one that suits your needs. Either way, this…

This product saved 15 lives! (Works fast!)

I cannot express how grateful I am for this product. I put the bag in and in about 20-30 minutes my nitrite level went from 4 to 0! My children were suffering and this product saved them. It didn't affect the ammonia levels in any way so I bought Seachem Amguard and it helped with the ammonia without changing the PH. I actually had an issue with one of my bags which had a small hole in the stitching and when I told the company they were kind enough to send me a replacement bag. This is…

One of the best filter additives

Honestly there's only one thing that really bothers me about Purigen and that's the sheer volume of solids that has to be flushed and emptied out of the damn bag before it's done. to get into the filter without small beads/resin chunks spilling out of the stream. In addition, this material perfectly removes organic waste from the tank. It even removes tannins from tanks where driftwood is still seeping into the water! As long as the resin hasn't run out, which is VERY easy to tell by its color,

Potentially very bad things.

I have Fluval FX6, changed after 4 months. And you have a 46 gallon tank (which has half the water changed every 3 months. It has a selection of small freshwater fish. The tank has been installed for 8 years. They breed and I haven't had any new fish for 2 years Used years. Very small download for a Fluval FX4 I've had 18 months. So one day (suddenly) the water had a smoky appearance. I then changed half and then added a 100ml purigen sachet which looked ok. Good Seams, beige product and etc…

Helps maintain clear and clean water in the aquarium.

Does a great job of purifying water from organic waste. It also keeps some toxic chemicals under control as they are organic waste that turns into harmful nitrogenous chemicals in your tank. Be sure to rinse them thoroughly under running water before putting them in the filter. You may see haze for the first day or so even if you rinse them well. Sometimes some of its dusty stuff can get into the tank. This is not harmful to your fish and most filters will clear the water within a day or so…
