I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

Before that, there was and still works, this company, an external hard drive for one terabyte. He is ten years old. There are no complaints. Let's see how long this lasts.

Pros
  • Verified company. Large volume, quality hard drive. Speed of work.
Cons
  • Didn't find

Fast speed of work, as an example, it downloaded 16 GB of photos and various files, coped with the task in 8 minutes, while the work is almost inaudible, except for the blinking of the "blue" light on the case. The size and shape of the disc are small in size, convenient to take with you. The computer sees the disk instantly. The actual disk capacity is 931 GB. The price is lower than that of other manufacturers, and with a discount in M. Video it came out very cheap!

Pros
  • Compact size, light weight, read speed, write speed, silent operation
Cons
  • A non-standard cord connector in the disk itself, not the longest cable (30-40 cm is included in the kit) is generally enough.

A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

On my disk: model name SEAGATE Expansion Portable Drive, model SRD0NF1, 1Tb, assembled by Nemko in China. The actual read speed (135,000 kb / s) and write (114,000 kb / s) is 2 times higher than stated in the specifications (in conjunction with a 512mb SSD on a laptop via Total comander). I have been using it almost every day on my desktop for six months for quick exchange and storage of files in a personal archive, I am very pleased.

Pros
  • lightweight, compact, capacious, and most importantly very smart
Cons
  • rather than a drawback, but a wish: the USB cable is longer and softer. The included cord is short and stiff for me, which gives the USB3 jack extra lateral stress.

Never buy this product.

I have 7 external drives, there is a 10-year-old transcend, and 3 Seagates of different generations and HD, (from 0.5 to 2TB) almost all of them are over 5 years old and everything works like clockwork, but this is a "miracle", no matter how carefully you treated him, but the "foil" connector, and as a result, disgusting contact at high speeds, kills him in a matter of months. Connectors are always the weak point of external drives, but I don’t know what the company was thinking about when…

Pros
  • Reasonable price, relatively compact, quiet, fast (in the beginning)
Cons
  • Glitchy, dying fast.

Best product I have ever reviewed, I recommend it to everyone!

I bought this external drive to disassemble and put inside a PC for storing games. Games are loaded from it perfectly, the linear read speed is up to 120MB / s, the write speed is slightly less. The disk uses a tiled record, that is, SMR. Pros: Pretty quiet, capacious and cheap. There is a 15mm disk inside, mounted on rubber feet, not very tight to the case, so it should withstand light blows. Some cons: The plastic box is designed in such a way that even when it is carefully opened, most of…

I didn't like it, I don't recommend buying.

I made a disappointing conclusion for myself: the disk is not suitable either for archives of important information (due to frequent software failures), or for processing heavy files or working with large data, and everything else starts very slowly. In my case, this disk is simply useless. Recording technology, sort of like SMR, which apparently allows you to increase the recording density and cram 4GB into such a small case. SMART data, via smartctl: smartctl -d sat -i /dev/sdc smartctl…

Pros
  • It works quite fast, the upper limit of the write speed that I observed is more than 120 MiB / s. Quiet enough. Interface SATA 3.1, 6.0 Gb/s (not 3.0, 3.0 Gb/s like most of my WD My Passport and WD Elements) Honest 4 TB capacity.
Cons
  • The dimensions are slightly larger than the usual external 2.5" drive (the same WD My Passport, Elements), but it does not catch the eye, it does not create any inconvenience. Addendum, with a downgrade, which has to be written after a period of use in real conditions: After some time, serious shortcomings appeared. So, when writing large amounts of information or writing a certain number of heavy files, the speed drops to 1.5-3 MiB / s., In fact, the process has to be stopped. Already several times there was a problem with the partition table, which had to be restored using standard Windows tools. It seems that only for a while, the disk can work quickly, after which it "runs out of steam" and loses speed. The partition system used is NTFS.

Poor product, the quality is below average.

Used as a dump of any media content. Worked fine for 20 days until I decided to connect it to a suspended kitchen TV to show photos to friends. When connected to the TV, the cord remained in the hands and the disk flew out of the connector and onto the parquet. ((( Comp. does not see him anymore. Previous Seagate (STBX) 500 GB dropped several times and at least henna. Therefore, I didn’t even think about choosing a brand. I’ve been dragging it everywhere for almost 3 years. It looks like…

Pros
  • The cheapest option for today. Handsome and tidy. It's nice to hold in your hands.
Cons
  • Failed at the first fall from 1.5 meters.

A useless product, its not worth the money.

Maybe I certainly did not understand the software, but the impressions are, to put it mildly, tarnished. And the disc itself is good, yes. ate: Bad external hard drive. It was just plugged into the computer and suddenly decided to stop being detected by the system (before that, it once threw out a similar trick). It was possible to restore working capacity (Windows brought the hard drive back to life for 3 hours), but the entire photo archive from the last vacation was lost, as was the backup…

Pros
  • Compact lightweight hard drive. Looks pretty. Works quite smartly. Reliability is poor, see comment. I’ll note right away that I didn’t drop the disc, I wore it in a case, it was always safe to remove it.
Cons
  • I took the disk specifically for synchronizing projects at work, tk. I work regularly from home. I was very glad that you can download a utility from the manufacturer's website that will synchronize data in a folder on your computer and on your hard drive. RESULT: Seagate Toolkit was created by rare Indians. Situation: I copied the files on my computer to a folder on my hard drive. I checked, everything is OK, they appeared on the external hard drive. I did a piece of work, transferred it to a hard one. I open it, but I don’t have these files either on an external hard drive or on a computer. Evaporated. And the program happily reports that there are no more 20 gigs of files on the hard drive. Sometimes, when copying, it loads the computer so that my conductor hangs up. Although it would seem. 2 It may suddenly stop being detected by the system and then if you're lucky you can restore the information, if you're not lucky you won't be able to. Question . Why do I need software that decides for me what I need. And does not fulfill its main function, to backup everything to a folder on your computer?

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

Got pros: I have been using Seagate Expansion external HDDs of various capacities for a long time. This product is easy to use, reliable, compact. It is easy and pleasant to work with him. I made sure from my own experience that this product meets the quality declared by the manufacturer and my individual requirements. I consider the Seagate Expansion HDD to be my "indispensable assistant and reliable friend" Different cons: As a longtime user, I am absolutely satisfied with the speed of…

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Full compliance with the manufacturers assurances, high quality.

Has some pros Bought a Seagate for the first time and am very happy with the purchase. I used to have a 2TB toshiba and was very upset with the purchase, it broke right away, you shouldn't chase gigabytes, this is not quite the main thing. The main thing is to choose a good company for these HDDs and look at the reviews. So, the file transfer speed is about 20 mb / s (I personally have large transfer volumes), I was pleased that it is fast and smart, in general, for USB 3.0. Works without…

My impression of the purchase is good, buy it.

Since hard drives are checked for a long time, and for the most part they are approximately the same, I evaluate it rather critically. There are no complaints about the work, but I put a minus for the outer case. The box is not strong, unpleasantly "squeezed" when pressed. The protrusions of the "diamonds" instantly begin to scratch on any surface. I think that you can take a point off for this, because for this price you expect a more or less "status" thing that will not deteriorate if you put

Pros
  • Stability, works everywhere, including in several TV-boxes without additional power supply.
Cons
  • The box is scratching

I do not recommend spending your money on this.

By occupation, they bring me such hards in batches. Some can be recovered, others can't. Unfortunately, I must agree with the majority here that it is better not to take this brand for those for whom valuable information is important. The same Toshiba is more reliable, it lasts up to 7 years without failures. All my own seagates were closed quickly, information was lost forever. If it is still possible to correct something for a small volume (200, 250, 320, 750 GB), then volumes larger than a…

Pros
  • Its only advantage is the Seagate brand, which is advertised on all corners as reliable. But he is hopeless.
Cons
  • Noisy, warm. Poorly reads information if there is a lot of it. Slowly transfers information from disk to disk. Often fails, all information is lost.

I took another one. Seagate on 250Gb works >10 years in portable disk mode, on 500Gb 6 years in archival mode, 1000Gb 3 years as main storage. There is trust in Seagate. One thing to remember: discs are delicate, you should never drop them. And sooner or later he will die anyway, so do not keep everything on one. Make copies. Its pros: Has been working for several years. This is already a result. Fast enough: 120mb/s read, ~100mb/s linear write. No degradation was found during the year of use…

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

I use it for professional video editing. I work through a proxy, so there is no need for space speed and it does the job perfectly. P. S. it is noticeably thicker than its counterparts with volumes of 2 and 1 TB. Pros below: This is perhaps the highest / megabyte ratio that can be found on the market. + 120 MB read speed and about the same write speed, which is faster than 90% of SD cards. Cons: The only danger is that during operation (like any other hard drive) it cannot be dropped / beaten /

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

Excellent write and read speed - tested with NEC uPD720220AF1 USB 3.0 Host Controller (Renesas USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller - 0.96 (Microsoft).

Pros
  • Fast write / read speed USB 3.1 Gen 1 (SuperSpeed). Compact, stylish case design.
Cons
  • Short-hard USB 3.1 wire. Flimsy plastic near the hard drive case, bright blue LED.

The product did not disappoint, the quality pleases.

I bought to replace Transcend, which served 5 years. Compared to its predecessor, the Seagate STEA500400 is faster, lighter and more comfortable. A few months in operation - the input power connector inside the disk became loose and began to crawl out. It is not known how long a disk with such a connector will last. But the manufacturer for such a jamb deuce! Could have fixed the element better.

Pros
  • Slim, light, nimble
Cons
  • write speed is not very good Six months later, the plug inside the disk began to come out, the disk began to "fall off" periodically.

Revainrating 1 out of 5

A complete disaster, definitely did not pass the quality check!!!

Worked almost until the end of the warranty, which was 2 years and fell down. Used to watch movies on TV. They treated him with care, he never fell, he was not carried anywhere from the apartment. But the official website entered the serial number and saw that the warranty ended two months ago. Apparently, some algorithm is laid down that the warranty is over, it breaks and go to the store for a new one. But since I bought in a store, two years have not yet passed from the date on the check. I…

Pros
  • price the size noiselessness
Cons
  • unreliable

A good product, but having its own defects.

Bought a hard drive in 2022-2022. How many things did not load into it, and deleted accordingly. Works to this day. There were not big problems, sometimes it moved away from the USB port on the computer. But it got better by re-plugging it. I definitely recommend taking a large amount. For it can run into a lack of memory. Again, depending on what purpose you take :)

Pros
  • Price Read and write speed Reliability
Cons
  • Not identified

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Satisfied with the product, I recommend it to everyone.

I bought it because of the price per megabyte. There are no complaints about the speed of writing and reading data; when writing heterogeneous files (small and large) to a disk of 150 GB, it showed an average write speed of 110 MB / s. An unpleasant moment was the presence of a thin, flexing black outer layer of plastic, which creates a feeling of a lack of strength of the device. I understand that a reliable solid case is hidden under this plastic, but the sensations are still unpleasant. In…

Pros
  • 1. Price. 2. The amount of memory. 3. Write / read speed.
Cons
  • 1. The presence of a casing. 2. Moderate heating during use.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Valuable purchase, nothing but pluses!

Good hard drive, speed is normal. Haven't had any issues in a year of use. I edit from it in the premiere. Not the best solution, because when you start playback on the timeline, the program needs a second or two to reach the disc. When this needs to be done several hundred times in a few hours of work, it feels like an eternity. But this is more my mistake when choosing, not the disk. For simple use, it fits perfectly, except that the plastic case seems flimsy.

Pros
  • Speed, price, stability
Cons
  • -
