Mixed feelings about this product.

This product has received mixed reviews. And here's why: Pros: The user interface is excellent. You can control all functions of the router via the user-friendly touch screen. More routers should do this. By far the best feature. The WiFi signal is good and strong. I have an excellent connection from the other end of the house. The router is small and doesn't look bad if you need to place it somewhere conspicuous. The Bad: The designed port that connects the router to the internet became…

It died after a year and a half

I would give this device a much higher rating, however I bought it at the end of October 2016 and about 4 months ago the screen became very light and almost impossible. read. It stopped receiving wireless signals tonight, rendering it virtually useless. As the screen got brighter and brighter I got busy with a few personal projects and by squinting and moving the device I could basically read what the screen was saying leaving me neither the time nor the energy to look for possible solutions to

Extender that really extends

I bought this as a wifi extender so I can get a stable signal in my workshop. My house is a two story brick and the Wi-Fi signal is notoriously poor if you try to break into the brick. I mainly use Apple products and my Airport Extreme works fine indoors and in the basement, but there really isn't much signal outside of the house. I've tried the Airport Express as an extension but rarely got more than a few bars and mostly nothing. So I decided to give it a try. True to the hype, I got it up…

It's so good it'll sound like paid advertising.

Although my husband and I took computer classes and even some programming in high school/college (in the 1980s-90s), we are not really "technical" people. We just want to turn on the computer and it works. We have a desktop computer at home and my laptop, both connected to the internet. We recently had a thunderstorm and our modem (provided by the phone company) and almond were damaged by lightning. The phone company replaced our modem and I contacted Securifi for a small Almond router. To be…

The problem I had in my house was that the Wi-Fi could not reach all the rooms in my house; which turned out to be a 1255 sf ranch style home. Since my brother-in-law works in IT, he advised me to buy an extension cord for full coverage. I read the reviews for this product and was impressed and glad my search was over. I really like the touchscreen and the colorful display. Not a difficult product to set up and works like a charm. I gave him 5 stars because he really did what he was supposed to

Worked great. within 2 weeks

Installation was easy as others have noted. Just follow the prompts to choose the WiFi network you want to extend, enter your credentials, and you're done. We bought this to extend the wi-fi signal to the third bedroom, which is the farthest from our router (about two rooms and three walls). He expanded it decently, increasing the deadzone to 20Mbps and the average download speed to around 3Mbps. For comparison, if we are in the same room with a router, we get a download speed of about 80…

Edit: To be fair, it looks like Securifi has released a newer version that supports Alexa. I don't know how this updated version works and I'm not paying money to find out, but unless they made BIG improvements my score stays the same. The price I paid is $89.99. I had this range extender. now for almost 3 years. I bought it back in January 2015 and the thing was *ok* at best for what it claims to be. More often than not, it's more like it's not worth it. It has restarted and lost signal dozens
