Rounded screw head didn't help at all

I was under the impression that this kit would help me remove a stuck screw with a damaged head. Instead, he tore the bolt's head off completely, to the point where it's now rounded and the extractor just spins freely.

Good job, huge time saver

Great DIY kit. When you come across this bolt that can turn your 15 minute job into 2 hours, that's a real find. They work great, appear to be very durable and come in a sturdy case. I haven't compared them to others of their kind but based on my experience I would definitely recommend this set.

It worked! Works well with socket and socket sets

After trying many ways to loosen a rounded bolt on my lawnmower I purchased this set of bolt removal tools. On the first try, he grabbed the bolt and held it until the bolt came loose. My only problem is that the removed screw is now stuck in the tool and I can't get it out. A small inconvenience after solving my big problem.

Does what it should.

Had a pinched/rounded nut. Use this removal set in combination with an air hammer wrench. He hit the extractor with a hammer, put on the air wrench and, having pulled the trigger fully, immediately removed it. On the plus side, it was cheap, came in a variety of sizes, and looked well built. Disadvantages, more knitting, more drive would be nice.

Got me out of a big predicament, a must-have tool

Great buy! This set should be missing from every mechanic's toolbox. Honestly this is one of the best tools I would recommend to anyone from DIY to professionals, you should really consider this tool. This will save you from some serious trouble and save a heck of a lot of time. Simply hit the damaged bolt with a hammer and then attach it to the Cordless Impact Gun. Really great buy and at this price it's a bargain! Highly recommended

Save me from big trouble

I clamped this nut on my BMW, I tried to pull it out with various tools but to no avail and the head of the nut was rounded. I bought an Eastwood nut extractor to start with because it has a 1/2" drive and a longer head. It was able to loosen two of the three stuck nuts. As a last resort I bought this one, with a 3/8" drive and a short. The first time I tried it, the 1/2 to 3/8 inch adapter broke. i thought i was lost But it was a good touch. I figured I could use an external hex and brought in

A good set to have the best socket sets

This is a must have for any mechanic or repairer. People who give bad reviews for bad screw heads obviously don't realize that these extractors aren't designed to save a screw, they're designed to save you time and frustration. They have a curved handle that rotates in the opposite direction as you twist the bolt to grab the head. If you use them, you've probably already screwed up the screw head by rounding it off. Anyway - I used this kit to remove some nasty rusty bolts that were welded to…

It worked GREAT! on Power and Hand Tools

This tool kit saved a life. I had a broken 15mm caliper bolt and tried a few things to get it out. Everything didn't work until I used this kit. I put the matching head in the screw and then put a 1/2" head on top (instead of using a 3/8" tool). I put a 2 foot rod on the jack and put some pressure on it. The first slight twist seemed to force the head into the bolt, but after that it came out EASILY. at least some are 1/2", but the socket's hex base allows for the attachment of a wrench or…
