Machined from solid brass product is legal

The valve is machined from solid brass. Including hose adapter, suitable for all common manometer/hose sets. Should last for years. Ideal for Walmart self-sealing refrigerant bottles.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Minor issues

Worked well for me - air conditioning tools and gear

While you can get adapters to work with old punctured valves to work with new self-sealing cans, it cost me a few dollars more to get the right tool for this to have the new glasses, and this one did the job perfectly.

just what i need to top up the air con in my car

this is just what i need to top up the air con. The A/C outlet was a little warm, so I took this adapter and yellow sensors. I managed to add some refrigerant, almost a whole can. So now I have a lot of cold air.

Don't waste your time and money on this.

It sucks that the new coolant canisters are the new self-sealing canisters, but I get it. The material is bad for the environment and the stitch type will definitely let residue through. But this faucet is worth nothing. In the picture with the valve fully shut down, the refrigerant should be blowing like crazy, but there wasn't even a trickle. I ended up buying another one at the auto parts store. I am sending this back.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • No power

Good quality, easy to use

Through trial and error I found that my old faucets no longer work with the new self-closing jars. I bought this valve and was able to easily attach a canister, connect the valve to a hose on the fill line and add coolant. Read the directions on the can as some cans require R134A to stay upright. I only needed 4 ounces for my last can, so I put the can on the scale so I could close the valve after the correct amount was released into the air conditioning system.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No instructions

Very Disappointed - Air Conditioning Line Repair Tools

Very disappointed. I bought this to replace a cheap modified adapter that broke. Although this valve is very well constructed, it does not function properly. I've had to vacillate over how tightly it screws into the can and how hard you turn the valve knob. Loosen this pull until you find the sweet spot where the refrigerant is flowing, loosen it a bit, and then connect the hose. I'm not sure, maybe the plunger is too long or something, but it doesn't work as expected. I will buy another…

  • Great for me

For new type r1341

Fits and fits new r134a cylinders with re-lockable Schraeder valve. It's not for the old style that pierced the can and then pulled out to release the coolant into the supply hose. It presses on the Schrader valve, thereby releasing the refrigerant into the hose. To close the stream, push the "plunger" back up and the shredder will close the end of the can, after which you can remove the adapter. This worked great for me after I repaired, evacuated and refilled a leak in my air conditioner…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors available
