Nice pedals but be careful when buying from Revain

I love these pedals. I bought a set from a bike shop and liked it so much that I bought a set for another Revain bike. Unfortunately, the set I bought from Revain started making a grinding noise after about 200 miles or so. Luckily it started 30 days ago so I can return them. Not sure if the ones they sold me have been refurbished or what. This time I bought another pair in the store.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No instructions

I wish more people knew about this pedal. This .

I wish more people knew about this pedal. This is the perfect pedal for commuting. I even have it on my expensive road bike so I can ride it around town in my regular shoes or my commuter trainers. Absolutely no slipping from the side of the rivets. I would even go so far as to say that any shoe that has some traction has rivets that make your regular shoe feel tight. If you're arguing between these and the $50 hybrid "road spd" pedals, grab this pair. Worth the few dollars more.

Handy for commuting and mountain biking

Platform side is large enough for trainers or street shoes. I especially like the little cleats on the side of the platform that grip well if you're not using cleated MTB shoes. The spike side is perfect. Even if you miss a spike (e.g. to start pedaling up a steep hill), the platform side can easily handle the spike and provide the right grip for a few wheel spins. Conversely, if you miss the side of the platform (e.g. to get away quickly at a busy intersection), you can easily use the side of…

Great pedals all round!

These are really cool pedals! I bike to work and wear steel-toed work boots, but I like to wear a seat belt when walking and on the treadmill. They're perfect if you hate constantly changing pedals. The flat side holds up great! It comes with short cleats and long cleats that you can swap out. Haven't tried the long ones but the short ones hold my boots up well. They hang vertically, of course, and that makes it easy to find the right side. I had no problems with that. They also seem very…

Great pedal for beginners and comfortable.

I'm an avid user of Speedplay pedals. I recently bought a gravel e-bike to commute to work and to recover from two broken legs. The Speedplay brand doesn't make platform style pedals, so I can wear regular shoes to work. This Deore XT pedal system is amazing. It has drastically changed my position on the bike and the quality of the pedals is second to none. I have never used an SPD system. It took me seconds to get used to the SPD and I went thirty miles straight away with no issues. I've never

They were big petals. They are light and well balanced

Those were big petals. They are lightweight, well balanced and very easy to put on and take off. It's great to have a staple-free side when hitting some tender spots on the road. Even with spikes on the sole of the shoe they sit comfortably on the clip free side because there is a concave area for the spike to fit - well thought out. But now, after only 2 months and less than 500 miles, the right earlobe started making a creaking noise, which turned into a grinding noise at the end of the trip.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • A little change

Great pedals for my commuter car

As I only have a utility bike I'm glad I found this pedal. I've tried the standard platforms as well as the clampless double-sided "bulbs" (with additional platforms that snap in when I need them) but they just didn't work for me and I kept switching them. With these PD-T8000s they are big and strong but relatively light! I was very impressed with them! Having a platform (which provides good traction with small screws) allows me to move quickly off a stop light or stop sign without worrying…
