this suction cup works well - please see Mercury manual for fitting instructions, use all gaskets. Gaskets are important.

Used this kit on my 1985 Mariner 90hp 6 cyl. Lots of extra parts as this kit is used on multiple engines but everything I needed was there and worked fine.

Confused about buying parts because it says it's a water pump kit. but there is no water pump. Housing only. Wouldn't have bought it if it said "no water pump" and that's all I needed.

This is the worst product ever made, the materials are terrible. I tried to see that the body did not rupture even before any torque was applied to it. If you don't want to do the work twice, buy another brand.

Fits my 1971 Mercury 1350 Inline 6 engine. When I replaced it I had all the parts needed to replace the impeller, stainless steel base plate, pump housing and even the lower pump housing (I would have replaced that too if the bolts hadn't gotten stuck in the lower unit). But now a very strong jet of water came out of my water outlet line, didn't overheat, works great

Perfect kit to replace the water pump in my 1988 Mercury XR4 Black Max 150. Rubber impeller in the correct orientation. Insert the impeller into the housing until it is partially inserted into the housing. At this point you can remove the tie with wire cutters. Make sure you use force on the impeller to push it into the casing if the strut is cut or the impeller will pop out and you will have to start over.

Fits perfectly on my 89ft Mercury 150 Blackmax. This kit includes many additional o-rings and gaskets for other models. Make sure you use the right one for your engine. Also, a tip I learned is to install the bottom half, then the impeller, then while pressing the top of the pump housing onto the impeller, apply a downward force while rotating the propeller shaft clockwise to ensure the worker is properly aligned.
