A wonderful product, it's nice to use.

Very long chose. I already stopped at Olmpus 25 mm f 1.7, but somehow suddenly a sigma with aperture ratio of 1.4 suddenly appeared on sale. Pros: Aperture-fast. Cutting. A juicy picture that is noticeably different from the whale Olympus. The body is made of metal and rubberized with pleasant materials Different cons: Video is not the strong point of this lens. Although there is autofocus in the carcass in the lens itself, this does not help. Long focus

Full compliance with the manufacturer's assurances, high quality.

Bought yesterday for my OLYMPUS OM-D E-M5 Mark II. Chose from Olympus M. Zuiko Digital 25mm 1:1.8 / EZ-M2518, Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4 ASPH and this lens. Panasonic 25mm f/1.7 G Aspherical (H-H025) was not considered. Ideally, it is quite possible that I would have taken Leica, if not for its price tag (+ over 15.000) and not ideal characteristics at the same time, according to which Sigma noticeably wins (for those who are interested, they will find the tests themselves). As a…

Pros
  • Compact. Light. Wide, smooth and comfortable focusing ring with long travel. Very sharp from the open. High-quality blurring of the background (someone, without any curlicues, may seem boring). 9 aperture blades. Quality hood included. Quiet focus. 100% Made in Japan (Fukushima).
Cons
  • The absence of an aperture ring, an autofocus disable button, or a programmable L-Fn is a price to pay for compactness. A small case wouldn't hurt either.

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

Be sure to take. You will have gorgeous portraits against landscapes and videos. Got pros: Ultra-sharp beautiful picture, without aberrations, distortion and vignette. 9 aperture blades. Rubberized hard body with a large and smooth focus ring. Ideal work in the video, if you take the sound from the external microphone of the camera or voice recorder. Low price. Has some cons Autofocus noise in the video from the camera sound, but it’s generally stupid to take sound from the carcass’s…

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

Installed on Olympus PEN E-PL2. Since there is no need to compare it with a lame whale zoom, we can compare it with the Fujinon Super EBC 7.1-28.4 mm f/2.0 zoom, although this is not entirely correct. Type of shooting: landscape using autofocus. Autofocus errors: None detected in both cases. Autofocus speed: Comparable. Full aperture sharpness: subjective even in Fujinon's favour. Distortion: At full aperture, noticeable in favor of the Sigma. Vignetting: not detected in both cases. In general,

Pros
  • Aperture combined with satisfactory sharpness at full aperture. Good mechanics combined with decent hull materials. Versatility.
Cons
  • Not identified.

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

Meets expectations by 100%, no less, but no more. Therefore, the rating is five, simply and without fanaticism. All the advantages and disadvantages were known even before the purchase, I just confirm the facts on my own tests. Everything is compensated by the quality of the picture and the price tag. The problems described regarding autofocus are actually quite rare, and for particularly critical cases, no one has canceled the manual mode, even if it requires some getting used to. The lens was

Pros
  • Aperture! and once again luminosity. Sharpness and detail at the widest aperture. The price against the background of the cost of direct and even less aperture competitors.
Cons
  • Size, especially with a lens hood, lack of an aperture ring, relatively slow autofocus (compared to a "native" lens for a carcass), besides, it is not always accurate at the widest aperture, rather unpredictable when shooting video.

Good price and amazing focal length

I've tried several lenses on the m43 platform over the years and in the end I find primes to be one of the best ways to get results. Yes, it's slightly larger than the 25 f1.4, but the combination of MFD (minimum focus distance), aperture and focal length makes it one of my favorite lenses. and Zoom 12-35 from Panasonic. 30mm is one of my most used lenses.

Pros
  • Handy stuff
Cons
  • So far so good

My copy may be defective

I bought a used copy or perhaps I should have bought a new one. This instance had many problems. Center sharpness was only comparable to my 12-40 @ f/2.8 and there wasn't much of a difference between the two lenses at smaller apertures. It was a soft, wide opening. Off-center sharpness was very poor, much worse than my 12-40. It wasn't decentered as the left side looked the same as the right side. I've never held such a bad lens in my hands. I have had very good experiences with the Sigma - 60…

Pros
  • Excellent performance
Cons
  • I have doubts

Great lens and grossly underpriced

This lens sits in an interesting middle position between "Normal" and "Portrait" focal lengths. Since the 30mm lens was originally developed for APS-C format cameras, it is equivalent to a 60mm lens (35mm equivalent) on the Micro 4/3. As such it has no direct comparisons to other autofocus lenses in the Β΅4/3 catalogue, but it does come close to some of them, the most obvious of which is the Leicasonic 25mm f/1.4. Dimensions and slightly larger in focal length. The resulting narrower field of…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled
