Melted at 425. Best in Baking Mats

Melted at 425 degrees and our oven runs cool, not hot. Not sure if it's fake or crap, but it ruined the new baking sheet. Blatt, but next time we will definitely buy another, more reliable brand.

No more aluminum foil!

Bought for my 15" x 10" pan and it fits perfectly. I use it almost every day, it stays strong. It's a bit greasy even after washing but I think that's how it should be. Anyway, it didn't burn, and nothing I baked on it didn't burn, everything slides off at once. Surely better than using and wasting aluminum foil!

came with 2 small tears

I chose this brand because of its "excellent" quality. Today I was so happy that I finally used my new SILPAT but it has 2 cracks: small ones but still unacceptable. I will ask for a replacement: I can't get a replacement because Amazon will tell me to ship it abroad with tears and I refuse to spend money on it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Love these mats - Baking Mats

I have 2 of these mats in different sizes and they really make a world of difference. I was skeptical about them before getting them but now I use them all the time. My only complaint is that when wiping/washing off surface residue they seem to hold on to oil (cookie butter etc) and feel a bit greasy over time. Tried soaking in dish soap but no change. However, it doesn't seem to affect performance.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Factor Set

Wow - I had no idea what I was missing!

Like many other reviewers, I have been baking on parchment paper for many years. These mats take cookies to a whole new level! If you've ever tasted the perfect homemade cookie, you know that it's soft, and even the bottom and edges have that wonderful golden brown that's usually only achieved when the rest of the cookie is undercooked and baked. on these carpets!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • A few small things

Silicone started cracking and peeling after 15 months

After only 15 months of infrequent use (about 1-2 times a week when the mat was used to roast vegetables) the silicone was falling off in small chips. the silicone has peeled off and you can see the actual holes in the baking mat. I have never baked above 230 degrees Celsius and never folded/bend the mat. Very disappointed. Maybe they sent me a fake product?

But it's great. in bakeware

This is great from a reusability standpoint (easy to clean, replace wax paper, etc.) but should only be rated for use up to 400F. The orange rim around the product will begin to turn dark orange (almost brown) when heated above 400F and begin releasing fumes/smoke. Because of this, I set off the smoke alarm at least once. Thus, using this product to bake most breads (bread that is not baked in a pan) becomes a problem.

  • glitter
Cons
  • problems

Best for regular use (but you need the right size)

Quality product that does what it's supposed to do although not quite convinced yet that it's worth the cost and hassle compared to a sheet of parchment is worth! Main note is that there is only one size in the UK, which is likely to be too big for most users. Although made in France almost everything seems to ship to the US and to get a "medium" size [for our baking trays] I had to buy from Revain in the US (about £14) and pay c. 10€ for shipping. I wonder why the full size range isn't…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • So-so
