These are old rags and there's a reason they've always been there. They can be used for quite a while before their use is limited and they have to be thrown away. As such they are great for the environment as I consider them disposable compared to regular store bought paper towels.

We run around like crazy buying towels, working on cars and trucks. It was amazing value and enough to turn a large load into a front end loader. I bought a separate laundry basket for them, when full I use pine sol and liquid conditioner and they are clean enough to use again. I think I'll get about 3 washes out of them before I have to sell them and buy more. Much better than paper towels and much more durable.

With this you get many commercial towels. If all you want to do is use and throw away, these are for you. I wanted to wash mine first to remove the glue and make it more absorbent. Well that was a mistake because they use quite a bit of dye on these towels. Your laundry will show, so if you buy these and want to reuse them, wash them separately because there's a lot of dye in there. I knit colored t-shirts to prove it.

I usually use rags to reduce waste and reduce expensive paper towel purchases. I thought it was the exact same volume I bought 2 years ago but it isn't. They don't absorb at all. Whether you're mopping up a spill or wiping down a countertop, the liquid just squirts everywhere! Terrible! I don't even know what to use them for because they're not good for cleaning anything liquid or spray related. I've also washed them a few times and they still leave little red lint with use.

When they arrived I started putting them out of the box and into the washing machine to take them out and clean or remove the dirt. They looked pretty good when they first came out of the box. They remind me of my workplace red towels from the store. You know, the ones sorted out and brought in every week. We won't be. I bet I lost 1/3 in the washing machine. I have a top load with no stirrer so can't fault anything. I think I'll use what's left and not wash them again. For the price, I should…
