Great for long distance connections

I needed to send data between two computers over a connection that was a little less than 200 feet apart. The WIFI signal was insufficient as the connection dropped frequently. I bought a 200ft network cable but sometimes the connection worked and sometimes it didn't. Bought some ethernet booster devices which didn't solve the problem. Bought with enough fiber optic cable to get there. I actually had to buy a different version of the piece that the cable plugged into. The one that came with…

doesn't work at all for network transceivers

Not sure if it's a fiber issue or something. We tried connecting this cable directly to a fiber optic cable but no signal at all. If we connect the original 2 cables to the bi-converter, it works fine. Everyone.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Annoying

Excellent, easy and quick. I had a job where single mode fiber (1 strand) ran to the other side of the site and I didn't know what to use as I've always seen 2 pair fibre. Well luckily I found this little guy, very simple at each end, plug them in and that's it. Allowed me to use this old line to bring back an access point instead of a wireless repeater. WLAN speed increased from 8 Mbit/s on the repeater to 85 Mbit/s! Super easy - plug it in, the light comes on in a few seconds. Only 1 thread…

No problem best in computers and accessories

I used this to extend a 10 megabyte channel through Walmart that was about 900 feet long. Not a single problem. However, the brick-to-wall power cord is only 6 inches long. It was a problem.

  • Great selection
Cons
  • I'll write later
