Like many other people who have written reviews of this switch, I bought it for one reason only: to be able to easily and quickly disconnect my computer from the internet , and without having to remove my ethernet cable (which is slowly damaging it). The switch is great for that. I've been using it for six months now with no problems.

Excellent switch. I use it to switch between Internet TV access and my DVR. Position A allows us to stream programs on my Smart TV. Position B allows us to record on-demand SAT programs on our DVR. Makes switching back and forth a lot simpler and easier.

I use it to switch between Xbox and computer because my router is on a different floor and I didn't want to run two cables through the wall and the attic. Works very well

I am very happy with the purchase. This eliminates the need to constantly plug and unplug an Ethernet cable between two machines. Now I just push a button when using this or that machine. My only complaint is that the A and B port and button labels on the device are difficult to read from a distance, but I solved this problem by printing the labels and placing them next to the ports and buttons.
