Bundling scam costs $27 per month

Sirius only offers $22 per month plus a $5 license subscription for this device. Bought just to play music on my boat, wanted a $6/month package. Hours spent on customer service (sic) aren't worth a second, it's as good as a brick if you don't want to pay £27 a month. Don't buy unless you want a top-end package that includes Pandora, videos, internet streaming, and more NHL and Nascar than one person can handle.

Well when it worked

It took 3 months before it stopped working. I have contacted Sirius (which is very difficult and frustrating to deal with customer reps who don't speak English very well and keep directing you to someone who needs to solve your problem) and they kept saying they would replace a new unit but would only send me a refurbished device. This is the third Commander I own that has served less than a year. The first and third were new. The second was a refurbished replacement.

I bought one device, it doesn't work, the second one too.

I bought this unit because it is compact, modular and can be connected to my existing radio via the AUX socket. The first device did not turn on, the power supply was checked, all connections were according to the instructions. Returned. I have ordered another one. This one didn't work either. I took it to the audio installer, they confirmed it was installed correctly and hooked up the unit from stock to the wiring I had run. Your unit fired perfectly and worked great. Your device was a…

  • Hard to say

This is a cute little block. The TuneStart feature and ability to play songs *after* changing channels is great! And while there's a long history of car satellite radios with impenetrable user interfaces, this case isn't all that bad. But my #1 complaint is that it doesn't have an IR remote control. Also, my second complaint is that it doesn't have an IR remote control. My final complaint (actually a minor one) is that the touchpad should have a connector instead of a very long cable so you can

For what it is, it works well.

The first seemed DOA. The new one was sent quickly, this time I installed it myself and the second one seems to be working fine. There is no menu other than favourites, and the decor is basic if adequate. All you can do is toggle the channel on and off and add it to favorites. The power cord is too short unless you plug it right next to the fuse box in the car. This product would probably sell better if it was free with a yearly subscription since the service is so expensive, but I think that's

Great, elegant custom design. Buy it!

works great! Needed a cool radio in the car. I agree with the reviews for this product recommending a professional install of the day. Since I do this work every day, the installation was very easy. Everything is properly connected, lots of wires going from side to side in my car. The module is nice and small and placed directly under the dashboard so as not to be in the way. The touchscreen lags behind the technology compared to smartphones. It has a very small delay when pressed, but it's not

Fixed alternator hum

Since I signed up with SiriusXM in 2005, I've tried several radios that could be transported from a car mount to a home mount. Most of them were classic Sportsters, most recently Sportster 5s. Each of them featured a horrific whine from the alternator that went up and down depending on the amount of pressure I applied to the gas pedal. All sorts of filters, chokes, cables tried - without success. I wanted to use my car stereo's AUX input for the best quality, but couldn't get over the squeaking

the touchscreen isn't that good - what a shame

Looks beautiful, sleek and modern. actual availability, disappointed. I had a previous Commander in my car and I liked him (I used the remote to drive). my next opinion. First off, the touch sensors suck and linger if they get a nudge at all. I think they tried to be too cute with all the options on the screen (some people like to see a lot). when driving, only the channel and the artist/song are required. The display was too busy and hard to see at times. The old version had a simple LCD…

was a longtime subscriber when Sirius and XM were separate companies. I was a devoted listener from 2004 to 2011. Well, in an attempt to save where I could, I got rid of my SkyFi 2 receiver and all vehicles and home gear. Fast forward to 2018. . 1 song and 35 minutes of advertising. No thank you. So I return to Sirius-XM. called and turned on the radio. All support staff speak broken English. I decided to go to Amazon and buy this device. Keep in mind that you'll pay anywhere from $80 to $130…
