Impeccable quality - works great

After years of shooting with a tripod I finally bought a monopod. On the recommendation of a friend who is a professional sports photographer, I bought this head for my new monopod. Couldn't be happier. I have no regrets and would buy it again

Great monopod rig

This is a very good tilt head for the price. I bought it to use with the Sirui P326 carbon monopod. Great combination and very practical. The head is very smooth and I think it helped me with sharpness when photographing birds etc. I bought it based on other reviews (thanks). Of course, a hanging head with a tripod would be even better, but that can't justify my current hobby. Also, I like the portability of this combo anyway. I get easily distracted from one location/bird to another, so it's…

Probably a good choice for a small lens, not a heavy one

This review is based on testing this tilt head with a 200-500mm lens; I felt that I had to over-tighten the grip to prevent the lens from tipping, and this mostly happened when holding the monopod on my shoulder, but not always. Another issue is that both handles are on the same side. This gave me concerns about accidentally releasing the clamp handle. I chose the RRS MH-01 Lever-Release Monopod Head and couldn't be happier. Although it costs twice as much, the security is worth it when you…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Well made, strong, just the way it should be. I have four Sirui products. Three heads, carbon tripod and carbon monopod. They are all better than comparable products, but two to three times more expensive. I love this company. You should too. This item will be shipped from China and all instructions are in Chinese. It's not a very complex product so it shouldn't be a problem, it's just a fact you might want to know. There is a long window for delivery. Mine originally said a month but it…

Reliable head: camera and photo

Good quality head. I use it on a Manfrotto monopod and a Zomei M8 tripod and it's very durable. Snaps in well and the Arca style clip is definitely better than the cheap ball heads on the various products I've bought from Revain. The heaviest rig I've ever used is Sony α7 III + VG-C3EM battery grip + Metabones V + Canon 70-200 f/4 IS (hooded and collared) + Godox TT685C. It's not the heaviest rig in the world, but it's heavier than my SL2 + 55-250 IS STM combo, which it works just as well with.

Works well even with very heavy lenses and cameras - great value

For $100 you get a solid monohead that can handle even a very heavy camera and lens combo (I have an 8- pound lens used with a 3 pound camera ) . The voltage adjustment works well and it's easy to get the value you want for the lens and camera. This requires a standard Arca-Swiss mounting plate or lens stem. There is a pin that retracts fully and does not interfere with the mounting plate in any way. The kit includes a plate that allows you to mount a camera with a lightweight lens on your…

Excellent monopod tilt head

This is a very well made tilt head that offers a very smooth tilt as well as a well designed quick release plate. If you've ever tried putting the quick release plate back into your head, this solves the problem and allows the user to open the shutter, attach the camera and close the shutter quickly and securely. To remove the camera, all you have to do is loosen the locking pin and slide it out of the head. I also found alignment tabs that can be pulled out on the quick release plate so it can

Great monopod head

I recently went on a bird trip and didn't want to take a tripod with me. So I decided to use a monopod. Ball heads aren't exactly comfortable to use with a monopod, so I went looking for a head that would help me when shooting with a monopod and came across the Sirui pan head. I made sure it was exactly what I needed and placed the order immediately. I have never been disappointed in my purchase decision as it served my purpose very well. It was very easy to use and held exactly in the…

This is a great monopod head, much sturdier than a ball head. I was considering buying this or the L-20S reversible tilt and I'm glad I went with the L-10. One tilt axis is enough for a monopod, so I saved weight. For use on my camera body I had to move the plate from side to side in a front to back direction. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the brand clip. The rest of my gear uses Arca Swiss compatible plates with two small adjustable pins to keep the lens or camera from slipping…
