Great bass for a small room.

I was considering buying 2 of these subwoofers to replace my standard subwoofers in my Pontiac GTO. Before I did that, I called customer service about 10 minutes before closing time and spoke to Sean. He told me he wasn't entirely sure it would work with my setup but they were cheap enough to try. So I ordered 2 and started caulking all the holes in the cab and trunk of the car as soon as they arrived. I took a comparison photo of my standard sub. up to skar 6.5, subwoofer connected and…

Ammo Can Skar Audio Suppressor!

This 6.5 inch DVC subwoofer sounds great in my DIY portable bluetooth speaker. I use 100W + 100W in speakers. Ohm resistors. Balances the sound perfectly. I used a DS-18 6.5" DVC style subwoofer in these banks. I think Skar Audio is much better. It has a lower SPL and less audible midrange than the DS-18, but it "sounds" much better. 2" voice coils made of pure copper and approx. 1" rubber surround ensure the best tonality. I use a 2" bass reflex port with a 10" tube inside the glass. I use a…

Takes tons of energy. Super powerful mini subwoofer

Editing: Do not deduct a star. but i noticed that it sounds pretty loud. as if there are some weird scraping mechanical noises with soft parts. However, this only happens when the subwoofer is connected to any amplifier and only when the amplifier is turned on. It sounds clean when not connected to an amp, and I gently move the speaker by hand. but connect. Doesn't even play music. and it sounds like a light, faint scratching. it's just really audible open air. but it makes me a little nervous.

A big plus for such a small sub.

My 2004 Avalanche doesn't have much room for subwoofers at all. I first bought an RT 6.5 kicker for it and it worked fine. but I wanted a little bit more. I built the box in the first photo 13" x 18" x 5". It is tuned and lined to 40 HRT. I put a spare speaker grille on top to keep the seat from damaging the subwoofer when folded. and this little guy hooked up to my amp all I can say is the Holly Hell Bat Mat! This little sub puts out more bass than the 10" subwoofer I had in my 2000 Silverado.

good sub A very big shortcoming. Honestly I'll have to send it back.

I was thrilled to receive this monstrous 6.5 inch subwoofer. One thing I didn't plan for, however, is where the awful spade terminals are. Magnet? Yes, this makes the magnet barely fit in the 6.5 inch subwoofer cutout on my closet. But that's not my main problem since it's removable. My main issue is the absolutely awful blade terminals. The guys make some of the best car audio components on the market. Every Skar product I have had has never let me down. snug fit. Flat connectors are in the…

All the reviews disappointed me, but still this is a great subwoofer.

I have a regular 2018 Silverado cab and the stock system is absolutely nondescript. Of course, space is a big issue. After months of playing around with different cabinet designs, I decided to buy this subwoofer along with a custom .25cc. The foot of the sealed case was all I could easily fit without sacrificing the ability to raise the center console or sacrificing legroom. There have been many reviews claiming this subwoofer "hit like a 10" and how "amazing" it is. I can assure you it does…

Great performance for 6.5

I love this little thing. Plugged in sixth order, fed about 300 watts and had fun with it. Such a small subwoofer allows me to try different box designs again and again without spending a lot of money. The thing reaches deep into the right box. I've had impressive results at 26Hz with my current setup. As a bass player I find it funny and surprisingly powerful. The best part is the sound quality, which I get thanks to the small footprint in the car and the very low power consumption. This…
