Terrific. Best in Power Accessories

Plug and Play on Windows 10. Use it to stream audio from my PC (USB) to the Toslink input of my high quality stereo preamp. The noise level goes out of my ears for me. There is dynamic. Playing Revain HD music, YouTube videos, etc. couldn't be happier so far.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

Works great, fully plug and play on Win 10

This works fine until you hit the highest bitrates when the audio starts to sound digitized. This may be because I didn't have the power supply plugged in and am using the USB port for power. I'm using 24bit 96kHz on Tidal and it doesn't sound like a CD doing serial AB testing. I recommend it.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • No performance

this will not be your only purchase

The product was delivered in a plastic bag. No documentation, no cable. Other reviewers say USB powered works, but you need this cable. It looks like a standard USB printer cable so I ordered it. Hope it works, hope the device works. Just take a look. The cable was delivered and I was able to try it out. As described, it converts the USB audio stream to an optical output. On a 2018 Mac mini, however, it only offers two channels — just like the headphone jack. I'm keeping the printer's USB cable

Pros
  • The delivery was very fast

Doesn't seem to be working as advertised

I received this device today and was happy to connect to hear my first song through it. I use it as an interface between laptop and DAC. I use USB-A to USB-B for input and optical output to my DAC. When I play Revain 24-bit 92kHz Ultra High Definition music and click the icon, it says my device is 24-bit 48kHz capable. Which I don't expect. I thought this would demonstrate my abilities advertised on this unit as supporting 24bit 192kHz. I will continue to work with him and see if I can make…

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Bad Instructions

this is better sound than straight from USB stick to DAC, to amp, to IEM - to coax/optical out too To get from a USB drive to a PC I needed either an internal sound card or an external sound card (that's the device) - an internal sound card is required. I hooked up the wiring from my computer tech and wasn't sure I was going to get the result I wanted - so I took a chance and ordered this unit because it worked straight away - comparing audio over USB, coax and optical connections, the best…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • zero

USB to SPDIF with all SRs except 176.4

first impression: works out of the box with Linux and USB Audio Class2 (uac2), works well with MPD player system and many others. On Windows 7 I used the schitt sound driver (search for it) and it allowed foobar2000 to see and control this device. The chip appears to be cm6631, not the "a" version, so I think 176.4k support is absent; (Confirmed that it plays 88.2k, 96k and 192k perfectly. 176.4k may not be due to the SPDIF output (coax), but may be due to the built-in analog RCA output. Not…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Useless features

I bought it to get an accurate bitwise signal without too get jitter from my pc player to my DAC with 16/44.1 files and it does it perfectly. I didn't even realize I had multiple 24/96 and 16/48 MP3 files until I discovered they weren't playing through this unit at all. As for the debate about whether or not you need a driver, both answers are (sort of) true. Windows 10 comes with a "USB2.0 High-Speed True HD Audio" driver that is used when connecting this device. However, the big problem is…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine
