The quality of this product’s glass is unbelievably poor, so do stay away. The chip in the glass cylinder (as pictured) occurred within the first 30 days of use, and happened during an ordinary lid removal motion. I attempted to report the defect to receive a replacement only to find out I was 35 days into my purchase, so Revain said "No can do 🤷‍♀️." Don't be fooled by the relatively thick glass. This container is very fragile. One light bump and the container is ruined and the coffee inside is contaminated with glass shards. It lasted less than a week.

I use this to store my opened coffee beans in and it works perfectly. The way the top closes is perfect for airtight storage. Holds a 1 lb bag of coffee.

I've had many other containers before. airscape and coffee gator but these are my favorite. They look pretty on my coffee station and they keep the beans fresh for a long time. seal is great. I saw on other reviews that people complain that they break but I've been using these for a couple of months now and I did not have this problem at all.

I've used one for months to store my coffee beans and it's worked well to keep it fresh long enough for me to get through it all. For one person it takes me about a month to get through a container filled with coffee and this helps keep the coffee from going stale in that time.

This container has a vacuum tight seal. It is adjustable and you can push it down on top of the food to keep the air out. As I take some of the grounds out I can push the kid down lower making an airtight seal. It keeps the coffee fresh, not stale. It is easy to put the bottom in the dishwasher to clean and hand wash the top in soapy water, rinse, and air dry. I'm hoping to buy another one to keep my brown sugar from going hard. When I find out if it works I'll try to update this review.

It solved the problem of too much guacamole that goes bad. I am so pleased. It really works. After the second or third opening, the guac did get a a little brown around in edges in a couple of spots, but they were a miniscule amount and easy to get out, leaving another portion of fresh guacamole.

Container diameter is too narrow to reach down and get hands in to grab the lid when there is little food item left in the bottom. The smaller container is not big enough to fit standard store bought product package contents. Not well thought out.

I was loosing about 25% of the 2 lb bags of coffee beans I was purchasing because they turned acid before I could use the whole two pounds. I purchased this to keep coffee fresh. I didn't realize how tall the container would be (ordered 1 # size). It is very delicate and afraid that I will break the glass.Will order another in steel but 1/2 # so can easily remove the coffee.

Having read some of the other reviews, I am treating this container carefully since reviewers have called it fragile. I therefore use it for longest-term storage, filling it all the way (at first) with valuable macadamia nuts and using a smaller and sturdier "TightVac" container for frequently used loads that last for about two weeks. I love to do small batch coffee roasting, and these are way more convenient than messing with ziplock bags each time I want to get some coffee out. I got 2 at $14 each, I'd say it was a steal! I also have the more expensive $30 Airscape (big size). I think the size small in this brand is easier to pull up/push down the handle each time, since the max coffee I store per variety is < 6 oz. Beyond that you will need the medium size.

I use this for my pet sitting jobs, where I need to use fresh coffee instead of Kcups. So I needed something that would keep it fresh for a long time, as most of my clients use Kcups.

I bought this after I broke the Bodum container that I had been using to store the coffee I grind at home. The Preparation container is made of thicker glass and the airtight lid is easy to use and provides a good seal. It is larger in diameter than the Bodum, making it easier to fill. And it was a decent price as well. Overall a great container for my home ground coffee.

Very well made; great (innovative) design. As you push the lid down, like a plunger, air gets through - it is released through the lid. But when you stop pushing, the pressure lets up and the air seals. There is no lever or any moving parts. I use it for long leaf tea. It may hold a pound of coffee, but things like tea (and coffee) are weighed by the pound and not by volume, as they say. So for my pound of loose leaf tea, it holds about 80% of it - which is fine. Keeps coffee super fresh! I definitely stopped drinking coffee during election season for about 2 weeks and came back to it and was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t taste any different. It’s very easy to clean since it’s essentially a giant glass. Just a note that you can’t fill the container all the way up to the very top or it won’t close a.k.a. It won’t keep your stuff fresh.
