Perfect connector cut with tool

I needed 30 walnut dowels. Instead of ordering corks I used this cutter and they came out perfectly. I've never used a pocket knife before. I'm very glad I went this route.

Pros
  • Tight fit; No glue required
Cons
  • Not sure

Works best in power tool parts and accessories

I had to make about 100 end caps to replace hinges on cabinets with soft close ones. The screw holes did not match and nylon inserts were used. I had to remove the inserts and plug the holes. Has worked flawlessly.

Pros
  • Hardened steel for durability
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

50 hardwood dowels and still looks new

I bought this dowel to fill some Allen screw holes on my new Batu (wood) deck. I used a 600 rpm drill and a industrial vacuum to get the debris out and blow air through the chisel to cool it. I kept raising the wood chisel while sawing to aid in cooling and was able to carve the 50 plugs I needed. When I was done I looked at the tip and was surprised that it was still as sharp as when I started. Keep it cool and take your time. You have to dig it in to get the bevel on the fork. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • Tapered sides and beveled end for easier insertion
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
