A well made version of the universal latch

I like this style of latch for many uses around the home. The truss head essentially has a washer-sized head instead of the traditional wood screw heads. This spreads the load a bit and is great for tasks like attaching curtain hangers. Of course sometimes a big head doesn't fit. They are well made from high quality steel and have a beautiful finish with a gloss black finish that hides well in many applications.

High quality, great price

Under $18 for 500 quality screws is a steal. The screws themselves have a deep coarse thread for good holding power. The tips are very sharp and there's a self-drilling head so you don't have to pre-drill holes except in hardwood. The Phillips head holds well and doesn't come off easily The top nearly fell apart after about half a dozen uses. Not a big problem as I'll be moving the screws to a more durable container I have at my shop. Great product at a great price.

  • Quantity: 500 #8 x 1 inch screws
Cons
  • Some bugs

Excellent flat head screw for fastening thin materials

SNUG Fasteners SNG1109 500 Qty #8 x 1 Black Phillips Screws with Modified Anchor Head My husband always makes something around the house and I knew I should get them , if they were offered. Because of their large head and low profile, pan head screws are great for fastening thin materials like plywood, fiberboard, and plastic. Because of their versatility, they are indispensable in the workshop from his point of view. Although he did not examine all of them, the ones he examined and tested were
