Nylon inserts are your best bet

If you need a nut for attachment, use a nylon insert nut. If you want a nut that doesn't wobble, use stainless steel. These SNUG nuts combine the best of both worlds. The nylon insert is slightly smaller than the nut and grips the bolt, while the stainless steel ensures they stay rust-free. These nuts are good quality with a clean finish. Nice plastic storage container that really looks like it will last a while. highlighted.

For a general application, my husband expects the three most important things from a stainless steel locknut: 1) the threads are tapped correctly and within tolerances; 2) the lock nut is not loosened; and 3) that they do not rust. Although he didn't test all 50, a sample of 10 of them started easily with a

This is 304 Stainless Steel Copper Alloy

This nut will probably fit most people but I took off a star because the material is not exactly what is listed in the description. Most people probably don't care, but it irritates me a little when a manufacturer lists a certain type of material and replaces it with something else. These nuts are supposed to be 304 stainless steel, but they are actually 304Cu (see XRF analysis). This alloy consists essentially of 304 stainless steel with an added copper component. Copper was widely considered…
