Great for what they were designed for.

I didn't think I would write a review on such a cheap product. However, I've tried some more expensive bumpers like 3M and they didn't work as well as this one. It's good to have them on hand when you need them.

Pros
  • Muffles the sound of closet doors closing or decor movement
Cons
  • Thoughtlessness

Not effective at noise cancellation

Totally useless when trying to deaden cabinet noise. My cats love opening and closing cabinets and the noise works very good on my dog. He either gets angry and runs after the cat or he gets startled and hides. Either way it didn't do anything to muffle the noise. I just have to switch to soft closing loops or something.

Pros
  • Includes: (12) 3/8" hexagonal self-adhesive foam pads
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Small but effective

I had an interior door that banged against the door frame every time someone walked through the house. I needed something soft to absorb the vibration and thin enough to fit between the closed door and the jamb so it wouldn't get in the way of the door closing. These worked great. They're about 1/8 inch thick, which is thinner than other closet bumpers I've considered but just the right amount.

Pros
  • Used for electronics, lamps, decorative items, glass tables, cabinets, etc.
Cons
  • High Price

But these work. for furniture inserts

I've found that you need to put them on all the 'problem areas' of your cabinet doors if you really want them to work. At $2.99 for 12, I was only able to cover 5 doors, with 2 doors having 3 "hit points". While going through my box of household items, I came across a roll of self-adhesive caulk. Cut out some small squares and glue them to the doors I missed and voila, you have the same result for a lot less money! And you can crop it to the size you want!

Pros
  • For use on hard surfaces to protect furniture and other surfaces from scratches
Cons
  • Disappear
